The following addresses a task that has become perhaps a bit notorious wink in the pages of PH:

"One of the coolest interior features of Bronco is something that I had wished would show up in the Land Rover Defender"

wink

As "hosing it out" has become a sort of meme on this site, that part of the video gave me a chuckle.

I mean: any time Defender or similar appears on these pages, somebody pops up to say that hosing out the interior is a must. Alternatively: It is regretted that new Defender is too posh for being hosed out.

The smaller C-Segment family size crossover isn't for people in Malibu or people who dress like Barbie only. It's one of the most popular type of vehicle in most cities around the world including the very country we live in. Therefore, this type of vehicle with 1.5L turbo petrol isn't laughable.

Yes, I'm sure there's a snorkel in its long list of accessories. But, again it isn't only designed for homosexuals, heterosexual and bisexual people can also buy and own this type of vehicle too. Basically, if you haven't noticed, people of any type can go into a dealership purchase any car they can afford. So, again not funny!
My aren't we very serious today. Popular city car? What like the jeep wrangler? As for the Bronco proper I was thinking cowboy; outside of rural America best in class rock crawling is about as relevant as said gun rack but thank you for the woke guide to car buying ! rolleyes
Let me remind you one more time, this new Bronco Sport is a C-Segment crossover/SUV that’s based on Ford Kuga. So, yes they are considered as popular city cars nowadays. I don’t know why you keep thinking it’s like the Jeep Wrangler?!

The one competes directly with the Wrangler is the proper Bronco that’s based on the heavily modified Ranger pickup chassis. Again, in case you don’t know Wrangler customers are based all over the world. Yes, the US is still its biggest market. But I don’t think cowboys are their targeted customers or their biggest customer base. Those cowboys are far more likely be driving base model full size pickups than anything else.

Just because people here in the UK aren’t used to or be able to accept Wranglers or Broncos, it doesn’t mean they are laughable. Especially in your first post you were laughing at the fact the new Bronco Sport has a 1.5L engine which is in fact a standard practice in this segment of crossover/SUV. And somehow when it’s a model that’s available to purchase in the UK or from a British brand, you don’t feel they are laughable anymore...

Plenty of Wranglers in my part of north east London; JKs, but increasingly, many newer JLs.

As I am sure the Bronco will be, a pleasantly honest motor.

Say what you will, but the fact that a mainstream manufacturer is offering this, from the factory (this is the Wildtrack trim level), is bloody brilliant:

On web pages with articles about the new Bronco, there are a good number of "curiously similar" moments. With an advert adjacent, such as that below.

Note how Wrangler claims leadership with the words, "Taking on the world" and "80 years and counting".

Wrangler has insisted on a doors-off depiction of its product -- a feature that, actually, Bronco does better (easier to do and more convenient to stow aboard).

Furthermore, doors-off is essential to the USP of the four-door Bronco ("built to give you the most open-air experience" according to the Bronco family launch video).

Wrangler portfolio sales exceeded 225,000 units for each of the last two years. Wrangler hopes not to cede volume and marketshare too easily.

The challenge for the team at Wrangler, unfortunately, is that there are diminishing returns to investment in sales and marketing today. The war, if you will, was shaped largely in advance over many years, during which Wrangler, some will say, rested on its laurels.

+1 Now LandRover are going fully upmarket. We need these simpler and boxier designs from other companies. Well done Ford, and INEOS

I think it almost looks like a concept vehicle or fantasy wish list type of vehicle, you know the sort of thing you seeing being custom built on a TV show costing a fortune. That you think, "heel yeh! That looks amazing, I'd love one". But knowing that in reality you'll never be able to afford such a vehicle.

Yet here Ford are, offering it with loads of a warranty and everyday usability. This has rocketed right to the top of my personal 'want' list.

It looks great IMO. Obviously it would stand out like a sore thumb on UK roads if someone were mad enough (read, cool enough), but that's all part of the charm.

Awesome. Red LHD import for me, please!

Really? The Ineos is covered in fussy details and this looks more like a kid's toy* than actual car.

Which one, the article is about more than one vehicle.

This one, maybe and quite likely I'd think. But who knows when.

These ones, probably less likely. At least in the short term. Suspect Ford will be busy fulfilling US orders for at least the first year.

Jeep do sell some Wranglers here now. So there is clearly a market. I think the decider will be if Ford decide to sell these in Oz. If so, then yes, I assume we will get an underspecced and overpriced version.
