RE: BMW 440i (F32) | Spotted

I love the 4 Series Coupé. Subjective, I know, but in my opinion it's the most handsome "3 Series" since the E36. The 440i would be a bit too far north for me, cost wise, but I'd be all over a 420i Gran Coupé if it weren't for a fact that I'm currently house hunting and will likely need most of my savings for a deposit.
Brilliant car. My 2017 440i is a manual on 50,000 miles, hasn’t had any problems and is the perfect daily driver for me. I’ve added a Birds LSD and a short shift kit which improve matters. Swapped the run flats for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, which improves the ride. Wish I had gone for a Remus exhaust and tuning box as well but Too late now. Maybe next time.....
I love mine. Very fast turn of pace, lovely straight six, nice place to be, and with a few m performance bits added it's sporty enough to not be a rep mobile but way less nickable than an M.
Tremendous auto gearbox as well. Nobody buys the manual with good reason, it's poor in comparison. I won't get into the auto vs manual argument but I've used the paddles on this blatting around the Scottish Highlands and the zf8 was immense used with the B58 engine.
Few other points. I've had it up to 48mpg on a four hour run from Edinburgh to Inverness ,michelin pilot sport 4s are far superior to the run flats, and the digital dash is a superb option instead of the manual dials.
With the new M440i and "that grille", I'm glad I got mine when I did.

Love my 440i GC, even if it's Carbon black with a white interior; by far the worst combination for keeping clean, but looks amazing when it is.
Does everything ridiculously well - especially since I got the MPPSK installed about two years ago which bumps it up to 360bhp / 500NM and makes it sound incredible.
Comfortable on long journeys, rapid when you want it, and can still do late 30s/early 40s mpg-wise on a motorway cruise. Debadged as well so it blends in with all the other 4GCs, apart from the exhaust
It's going in a month or two, but only to make way for an m340i ... It's the only car I could think of to replace it.

List was about £40k, but discounts were easily had. I think TRL at Berry Heathrow could get you almost £10k off at one stage.
I can confirm this. My 440i was loaded - £51k list price but I only paid £33k when it was six months old, with had one owner, the BMW dealer and it had 5000 miles on it.List was about £40k, but discounts were easily had. I think TRL at Berry Heathrow could get you almost £10k off at one stage.

Same here - £51k-ish, discounted to £38k new, and 0% APR.My neighbour used to work for a BMW dealer and was able to spec his own company/demonstrator vehicle so had one just like this but in white with a strange shade of tan brown interior, I was shocked to see it was a manual! Must be very rare.
I always thought it was a bit of an up yours to the dealer speccing it as he had done.
