Welcome Scott, and good luck with the restoration! Why not start a Readers' Car thread so we can all follow your progress? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...
Welcome to PH! Keep an eye out for our events in 2022, they're a great opportunity to meet PH members. Our December Sunday Service at Caffeine & Machine sold out within a few hours as it's our only event for this year, but there'll be plenty more coming next year.
Welcome to PH and lovely R8! We do allow YouTube embedding, as long as we feel like the member isn't just here trying to promote a monetised channel. So we like to see a good mix of written content, photos and video, for example.
If you want to embed a video on your Readers' Car thread, you can do so using this code .

Welcome Richard, you're in the right place! I'd recommend reading our Vanquish buying guide here https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-buying-guides/...
If you've still got any questions unanswered, then ask for some advice in our Aston Martin forum here https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...
And last but not least, find one for sale here! https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/aston-martin/vanqu...

Thanks, just come here from DRIVETRIBE as it is not going to be a thing anymore sadly
Welcome! If you're looking for advice on your first car, then I'd recommend starting a thread in our Car Buying forum. It's sounds like you're keen to write about it once you have one, so our Readers' Cars forum is definitely worth a look.Keep an eye out for our Sunday Service events too. Most of them are free to attend and our first one for 2022 should be in March, so come along and meet some of the community!

Hi,
I'm an older lass, and I passed my test in 2019. With the plague and everything, I'm still trying to work out what is what. You seem a nice lot here. Where is the best place to look for tips about a Citroen C3?
Thank you for any help.
Welcome to PH! If you're looking for advice, then our French Bred forum would be the best place for the C3 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...I'm an older lass, and I passed my test in 2019. It's not the type of car we review at PH but you may find our sister site CarGurus helpful for their review and finding one to buy https://www.cargurus.co.uk/Cars/Citroen-C3-2016-Ge...

Hi thanks for letting me on. Rebuilt my first 4 cylinder at 13 years old. Had my own garage to pay my way through uni. Served in the army and the police. Took an ied and had to retrain after my spine was rebuilt. Not much else to say about me except I've had 84 cars and motorcycles over the years. From new through to old bangers.
Welcome to PH! Sounds like you have quite the story to tell – with that amount of cars I'd recommend starting a Readers' Cars thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...DarrenFromLeeds said:
I wanted to reply to something in speed, plod, and the law. A message flashed up: you do not have permission to post in this forum.
Hi Darren and welcome to PH! We have new member posting limits to prevent spam attacks during certain hours of the day, and we limit posting access to our Speed, Plod & Law forum for the first 14 days.1986325i said:
Hi, i am new to piston heads but wanted some more broader opinions on my dilemma rather than just posting on BMW only forums.
About 6 years ago i bought a barn find 1986 325i manual 3 door coupe E30 in Zinnabar red. It has a legit 78,000 on the clock with full mot history and service history to back it up with a Hpi certificate too.
I spent thousands on this car, rebuilding the m20b25 motor, fitting BBS split rims, gaz coilovers and a full genuine M-tech1 body kit with every nut bolt and washer new from bmw.
Car is currently stripped for resto but i want to cash it out to finish two other long standing projects. Would rather sell as a whole lot than split it all out in parts as it`d be heartbreaking doing that.
Where am i best to post all the info to get some sensible feedback ?
Thanks in advance
Welcome to PH. Our forum rules prevent 'what's it worth' type threads and threads that are deemed as advertising, so this isn't really something you can post about on PH I'm afraid. Our classifieds would be a good place to list it for sale though https://www.pistonheads.com/sell-my-carAbout 6 years ago i bought a barn find 1986 325i manual 3 door coupe E30 in Zinnabar red. Hey all, new member in Warrington, Cheshire. Hoping to find some meets and events to take my F-Type R too, any suggestions or direct pointing appreciated
Welcome! We don't get that far up north too often for PH events I'm afraid, but it's worth checking our Events & Meetings forum to see what's about and keep an eye on our North West regional forum to see what's being organised in your local area too.cliveyp said:
Late to the party….first signed up here 12 years ago, but have only just started getting back into the car hobby recently after a string of boring dailies causing me to lose interest.
Now back, and ready for the Morgan SS.
Superb, that's some serious lurking. See you at Morgan! Now back, and ready for the Morgan SS.

Good morning all.
I've been a regular tyre kicker on the PH classifieds for a while but I've just taken the plunge and joined the forums. I'm interested on pretty much all eras of cars and slowly but surely building up an odd and eclectic collection - looking forward to hopefully getting out and bout this summer to events around the midlands.
Thanks,
Matthew

Hi, I am new here and seeking help. I have just had an above knee amputation. I own a Mk1 Ford Focus RS which I have had since new in 2003. I wish to carry on driving the car, has anyone any experience of fitting a ‘ Duck Clutch’ or details of companies that fit. I have been told that a car the same as mine was converted for a double amputee in Germany? Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Paul
Welcome to PH Paul, and I'm sorry to hear about your amputation. I'd suggest posting a thread in our Engines & Drivetrain forum to see if anyone has any advice.Regards
Paul

Can I ask what the difference is between General Gassing, Pie and Piston and The Lounge? Do they serve different audiences somehow, or…?
A very good question! All forums have a parent forum – General Gassing is a bit confusing as we have the same name for both the parent and we have a General Gassing forum within in. GG is for all non-make specific motoring chat. Can I ask what the difference is between General Gassing, Pie and Piston and The Lounge? Do they serve different audiences somehow, or…?
The Pie & Piston is then the parent group for our non-motoring forums, with The Lounge being the main non-motoring forum to post in.
If you're unsure where to post anything, feel free to ask here or a moderator will likely move your thread to the right place otherwise.

I want to post about a poor garage experience with a full timeline of events I had recently, to hear other users opinions and make them aware of the situation.
Any tips how I should go about this? ie avoiding use of garage/names, what is appropriate to share and where if so to create this discussion?
