Wasn't going to particularly post anything until I saw that IT'S GOT RADAR CRUISE CONTROL! Never seen one for sale with it in the UK.
Is that the radome by the front plate?

Well over thread max but the extremely rare 5.5 in the S211

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202010185...

My god, that's an absolute cracker.
Looks good, but who would choose a steering wheel in that colour?

As with so many cars posted, it also seems pricey doesn't it, grown-up engine notwithstanding?
Does look very good, definitely needs a different wheel on it as that one's disgusting. And I say that as someone who obsesses over not-black interiors.
Lovely but crazy money. 5 grand MAYBE and that'd be a stretch. If it had a load of unicorn options to go with it like dynamic seats and distronic then it'd be well on the way to be the non-AMG ultimate S211 and could go for more, but it sadly doesn't.

VIN decode says different: https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wbagg82050db10329

Never seen it before, must be a handful of them at the most. Option "S541 Active cruise control"

Hmmmm, well I never. Is it possible it's just cruise control?

I won't be going to the meet on Sunday, for me, just not sure it's right to do in the current climate. Maybe next time smile

It's not just normal cruise - it is "active" but very, very rare!

I found it strange that it wasn't mentioned in the text. Unless it doesn't work hehe

I have a curious fixation with radar cruise, to the extent that I've made it the toy-to-end-all-toys deal-breaker for any future barge purchase.

Daft, as its utility on overcrowded, nose-to-tail British roads is surely minimal.

The problem with asking for £9k for this is that pre covid, that was firmly in E55K territory.

While they have probably gone up abit in price as well, why would you want the non supercharged one?

That one doesn’t even have ventilated seats.

Especially as on in thread budget barges it won't work from 0mph, which it will on newer cars, thus giving a useful traffic jam crawl function.

The 0-mph function one would definitely be on my shopping list of £20k barges. It's absolutely amazing.

That said, if you regularly went through sections of busy variable speed limit motorway it could be useful - there's always someone in front doing approx the limit to keep it reigned in, just leave it set to 70mph and chill.

My current 211 has Distronic radar cruise which is the first time I have ever had. I really like it and use it all the time. It is occasionally a bit dim witted but I expect more modern iterations have improved on that

170k miles, and a slightly strange price (£5,522 - designed for negotiation to the top of thread surely?!), but a large amount of swank for the cash.

I know everyone here loves a Merc, so here's one which says P.O.R......so theoretically it could be in thread budget:

It probably isn't, though
Without looking at the ad I'm going to guess that's €1.5m.
Funny how chrome wheel arches look sort of ok on that.

Must be a very small market for one of those. I mean, who would be interested, apart from actual dictators?

Have you driven one of those Vectras? I can only assume not, for the fact you posted it.....

I cannot imagine any reason why any GM Europe product from the last 25 years or so would be anything other than a panic purchase for someone who has the slightest interest in cars. How bad do you have to be for PSA to end up buying you?

ETA Look at this. From 2005. Absolute st.
