Well, now we are in Tier 3 it looks like a Duxford possible has turned into a Duxford no for me. I assume that also rules out a Northern meet?
I’d say it’s up to you to exercise your judgement (I’m in Rochdale, but I’m going). A lot of it depends on whether you dive into that sink of depravity & villainy that is NP&E on a regular basis, and if so, which side (there’s no such thing as a fence in NP&E) you concur most with.

Is it more risky than staying at home? By definiton, yes. Do I trust my fellow bargista to be sensible about staying home if they’re displaying symptoms? Also yes. My estimation of the risk when being stood outside for an hourt or so with the rest of the gang here is that’s it’s pretty low. Sitting in a barge, 5 up with all the doors closed, chinwagging for a solid hour, it’d be a bit higher.

If you still don’t feel comfortable, that’s genuinely fine - it’s up to everyone to take their own responsibility & life choices. If people can’t make this one, there will be other barge meets in the future.

I hope some of you manage to go ahead and meet, I also hope the weather plays ball, because I hope to see some lovely photos biggrin With 5 V12s a possibility, I would feel distinctly inadequate hehe Maybe at the next meet!

I'd second this - hope some of you make it and looking forward to the pics. I've only made one meet and enjoyed it and I will make another one one day!

HELLO! Just looked at your profile. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=12...

Please make that definitely!
Ha, I'd forgotten about that article! Funny reading it back after so long - it took until last year before we managed the the trip to Norway I mention, though the trip to Greece still hasn't happened. The next big expense wasn't seat belts, as Bristol Cars did it gratis a couple of years later in exchange for some work I did for them, though there have inevitably been a number of other big bills over the years. You can see what the car's been up to recently at instagram.com/bristol410.

Are there any bargistas in the East Kilbride/Glasgeh area willing to have a nose at a car for me please?
Just catching up on the thread, so possibly too late in replying. However if not drop me a message, happy to help.
Thanks cat220. I am waiting on nblr's report:

I've just twigged that this is the barge in Glasgeh that I was hoping someone could view but nblr is in there first.
Bit of a palaver actually - messaged on Friday, said he would get back to me later Friday, message on Saturday saying he'll get back to me over the weekend, message this morning saying sorry, not been working this weekend as family emergency. Weirdly the Gumtree adverts have been getting refreshed though - it was suggested I should just turn up but it's Gumtree and so has no location details beyond East Kilbride.

However while the wife is keen on mercs, she's not so keen on estates, so I might have to wait for a saloon to turn up instead, but still plan to view this one (if seller ever lets me). I'll let you know!

Looks pretty clean if slightly uninspiring in all the greys.

This is probably for another thread, but all I will say is I disagree, we wouldn't need the rules if all people could be trusted to take their own responsibility and life choices. The situation my family has recently found itself in thanks to others' selfishness is testament to that. I would love to go, but I am happier to wait for another time.

Knowing some of you have a soft spot for the W124, may I crave your indulgence and ask if you could take a quick look at the thread I have started about a unsolved traction control problem on my E36 please?

Thank you.

Carry on.

Speaking of tasteless Jaguars, I've been looking at X351 XJs (there is a 5.0 Portfolio up for £10k), am I the only one who thinks these "instruments" on the screen are kind of.. well.. fking awful?

Did they let the 14 year olds at the local school design that? It seems reminiscent of the "instruments" in racing games on my Amiga.

Maybe it's just me being aesthetically stupid, but what's wrong with them?

The stickers are easily removed, but those bloody leapers leave a hole that needs to be filled.

There was a chap in my Le Mans group a few years back that had stickered-up his Jag for the event one year and had then decided he liked it so kept them on. You won't be surprised to hear that it looked gash and he was teased mercilessly and relentlessly.

I'm wondering if I could get some greyhound stickers made up for the rear wings of the Touring...

Given Mercedes eventually capitulated and started selling new cars fitted from the factory with the kind of modifications you used to see people fitting to the old ones (nightclub interior lighting, enormous wheels, bodykits, etc.) do we fear that it's only a few years before Jaguars arrive pre-Geralded?

I believe in the USA you can get them ordered with the leaper on, the yanks probably think we all drive one with it on and they get to think their all “bri-ish”. Maybe some come with pre-sagging headlining too? getmecoat

I would agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that truck drivers can go anywhere, this includes the ones coming straight off the ferries from the continent every morning and being all round the UK by mid afternoon, and also going into cafes and pubs. Never mind the fact that the tests are coming back with so many false positives

White A6 C4 from previous thread with dog looking less child faced:

https://www.gumtree.com/p/audi/audi-a6-2.8-quattro...

Other images in the advert show worn through material on driver's seat base and brake parts before fitting. The NSF indicator lens seems to be standing proud in a couple of photos.

What is it with small white dogs getting in on the act and stealing the show?:

We had my grandmother's funeral this morning, lost to Covid-19 despite our best efforts to shield her from it.
