My little w124 looked tiny sandwiched between the pair of S600s and the G wagon!

Great to see everyone and their cars today. The weather gods were smiling on us, one would almost describe it as sunny.

Highlights for me were seeing the century in the metal and the various big Mercs. Must get another barge soon

Looks like a good meet - sorry to have missed it.

Someone's selling a W124 E320 estate in Londonderry - anyone on here? Not that I'm local, or in the market for another car.

Great shots. The stance of the Century is quite something, looks incredibly dignified.

A good turnout. I didn't know you could go on a flight. Very good.

I was disappointing that I couldn’t make it, but now I have seen the photos. and it turns out you lot ain’t a bunch of early 20s ex-playboy bunny centre fold barge enthusiasts, I don’t feel like I missed out as much.

What a fine collection of barges, chaps cool

Just having a tip out of old car mags and found this 2006 article about the 500 SEC. How times, tastes and prices asked have changed!

The meet looked fun and you were lucky with the weather. Slightly disappointing to see such a lack of branded motorsport clothing though.

When I was a much younger and considerably richer person than I am now, I 'nearly' bought a 560SEC with a lot of expensive add-ons from the mighty AMG when they were, ostensibly, a separate entity. It was about 70 thousand pounds which was a fair old lump of dosh even for an idiot like me to even contemplate. However, finance was available and I thought, in my infinite wisdom that I could 'Man maths' a solution.

Sadly my wife disagreed when the finance payments were about £2000 per month over the rest of my life. I did get to test drive it though and I can report it was FUN and pleasingly rapid smile

I'd like my 190e to go to someone who will look after it. I can't post a for sale on here, but if anyone was to know anyone who was interested, they could send me a message smile

That would be me. I've been waiting since May for a front wing to commence paintwork (delivery date is currently 27th Nov!), so I thought f**k it, stick it up as is and see if anything happens. When completed ( mid-December hopefully), I was going to stick it on Collecting Cars: they seem to get great money on their listings...

One of my big regrets is deciding a 560 SEC in brown over brown leather was probably a bit of a silly idea. It was £2k and pretty tidy.

Mine is not buying a good 560 SEC/L or SEX if you will when £5k was top of the market.
