“Cup Edition” of the later GR86. Never seen one before. And I work for Toyota Motorsport…

Except for the stickers/wheels what is the difference?
No idea

I noticed a small Hyundai suv the other day that looks like a small Urus, I guess It exists. Also a new EQS, I had look too see which model, it was a lot smaller than I expected. So, I've seen one now and know that it exists.

The rear wheel arches of the Tucson does look very similar to the Urus

As with most of us I try and keep up with new cars but I saw a Renault Arkana on the motorway yesterday which is a new model I'd completely missed.

Is this not a platform share with the Merc (GLC?) thingy?

No, GLC is based on the MRA platform which underpins everything from C Class to S Class

one of only literally 3 or 4 cars in the last few years that doesn't have the standard wheel arch that every single other car has (round, with a 2" flat border)

Any idea why wheel arches have standardised on that shape?

Panel strength with thinner sheet metal, and styling to make the wheel and wheelarch look bigger. A quick Google but I could only find a Quora link https://www.quora.com/Why-do-modern-cars-have-whee...

Yep, It looks like it's a small SUV trying to smother a bizarre looking BMW 5 series.

Outside of a FFRR, there aren't many SUV/CUV/Crossover/4x4/Faux x fours that I like, but I have seen a few of these around and the styling is good on them. It seems to hide it's bulk quite well.

Not my first choice of car by a million miles but if it had to be this type of thing, it'd be this one.

Concept cars don't count I guess, but I was very surprised to discover that Samsung once planned to make cars in the 90's.

This is the Samsung SSC-1 with a midship 2.5 V6 from Nissan and some other Nissan bits, too. The asian financial crisis that hammered the Koreans also ended Samsungs dreams.

They have done for a few years. There was an electric Renault (effluence?) which was built by Samsung for quite a while and the Koleos has always been built in Korea and not in Europe.
