pajero mini. 660cc kei car 4x4. I don't know why they don't bring this back, it could directly compete with the high demand jimny.

I drove the Pajero Pinin back in 2001 as a test car for tyre development. Was a fun drive in the wet!

I’ve seen quite a few here in Cologne, apparently it technically makes it a 3-wheeler which means 16-year-olds can drive them.

Similar to Sweden’s A Traktor rules that let teens drive a car that has been converted to 2 seats and is limited to 30 kph. That results in stuff like this:

Indeed. You can pretend you are brooding Italian detective Rocco Schiavone from Channel4. (Season One only, then they put him in some dull Opel)

I've just finished rewatching 'Romanzo Criminale' in which the same actor played a brooding Italian villain, driving / being driven round in various cars including an Innocenti Mini Cooper and an Alfa Giulia Ti.

I came across this yesterday, a rare variant of the humble Fiat 500 called the 'My Car Francis Lombardi', with sunken headlights, an additional chrome grille and different roofline...

Our local dealer was pushing these a few years back.

Was punting them out silly cheap and the local taxi firms snapped a load of them up. They’re still been used after all this time so they must be pretty hardy underneath. Was a Fiat fan back in the day so had a poke around. Interior was disappointing and the design wasn’t exactly inspiring but if you wanted a new car for the price of a 5 year old Golf then it wasn’t that a bad buy.

Sort of car that you keep till the bitter end. Would be worth buttons as soon as you left the forecourt.
Given the markets it was designed for I'm sure the mechanicals are tough as anything modern can be, so not a bad choice for a minicab if you're not the one spending 12 hours a day driving it.

Another Fiat here:

The 2015 Tipo. At first I thought I didn't know it existed because it had been launched in Europe after I moved to Oz. But now, it had been on sale for 5 years before then. I never knowingly saw one, never read anything about it's launch, had zero awareness of it's existence until now.

How strange, I saw one of these at the weekend and just like you had no idea they'd ever carried on with them after the original.
There is one a road from me, I think at one point Fiat were pushing them out for about £13k!

They are the minicab of choice in Barcelona, tough as old boots, felt extremely flimsy inside but one I was in had over 300,000kms but didn’t seem to show it. Good old dependable motoring.

Comment from another thread had me searching and you can still buy them new!

Comedy pricing and not in the good way. List starts from about £27k eek however dealers are knocking off over £5k without even asking but check the price of a one year old one - £15k!

That’s some serious depreciation and no wonder they are a rare sight. Made sense when they were knocking them out for pennies but who the hell is buying them new at anywhere near current prices?

I stumbled across these while looking for small estates - the Toyota Probox. Designed for commercial use - not that it only has one electric window!

Those Proboxes are proper minimal, there are a number of Japanese brands producing similar such no frills basic estate cars, usually used by reps or mobile service people. They are very cheap, like Dacia used to be. You've pictured a high spec model, with body coloured bumpers and mirrors.

Our correspondent on the ground in Japan, Noriyaro bought one. Apparently they are known as "the Salaryman's coffin".

you can get a base-spec pre-registered one for £16k on autotrader - similar places are pumping out fiat 500Es for £14k. The true price of a fiat is cheap, regardless of the list price
