At 39, I think im probably 10-15 years too old
The polar opposite. I reckon there are more owners in their 50’s than in their 20’s.....peteob said:

Having owned a 275 Cup S and now an fk8 I can categorically assure you you're wrong. Honda faster, steers even better, handles better, rides better and puts its power down massively more cleanly. Much better gear change, better driving position - I could go on. Megane a great car but thr Honda is a generational car. Amazing how the looks grow on you when the penny drops you're driving something game-changing.
This new car confuses me: US reviews reckon it rides better, Evo that it's much harder and now PH that it's much the same. Which is it? The only thing I'd change about mine is the niggly low speed ride, even in comfort mode sometimes. Was hoping the facelift would address this.
Better gearchange, driving position and ride (due to adaptive dampers) I agree with. Steering feel however is much worse and chassis is worse imo. These are just my thoughts after owning/driving both evo seem to agree: https://issuu.com/333bigbob8/docs/3sdcsdc/88This new car confuses me: US reviews reckon it rides better, Evo that it's much harder and now PH that it's much the same. Nearly 56, and I have a 2017 model - Best car I have had by a long way, who cares what others think!
That's how I have lived my automotive life. I do not give a stuff. Left a note in the window of a lhd Renault 4 van tonight...sadly even that is likely to be out of my budget!Drl22 said:
That is the busiest picture of a car I’ve ever seen.
I think I can one up - Mine has an extra wing and stickers And, For the sake of contributing to the thread:- It's interesting the PH review hasn't said much re. the damping changes; The opinions seem to range from slightly better to slightly worse depending on who has reviewed - Would be interesting to try a 2020 to see.

Given as everyone agrees it's great to drive and the only point of disagreement is the styling, it's well worth seeing all the pics of cars in different colours, angles and lighting I think
Give it a little while, with enough colours and angles we'll find something for everyone eventually TwigtheWonderkid said:
Yup. I'm 58 and I'd have one tomorrow. And in this colour. But unfortunately, whilst I could insure it for just a few hundred quid, I have 2 sons in their early 20s who have no need for their own car but need to be able to drive mine occasionally, so that rules it out.
Sounds like it's time your sons sorted their s***e out tbhsamoht said:

the red one above does look a lot better, quite good even! there are a lot of people criticising the looks who actually like the car. By contrast, when you see vanes or slots on a McClaren they do something functional, and hopefully the designer has blended them in to give a pleasant form too. Or a bonnet scoop on an R53 (which became a blank on later turbo models!).Onehp said:
Any more pics of the Sportsline version? Can't find any others then the grey press car...
May be worth playing with the configurator;https://www.honda.co.uk/cars/new/civic-type-r/over...
Looks like they're only releasing it in Black, Metallic grey, White and Red here in the UK - Not sure anywhere else will see the lary colours either.
Looks quite nice in the red, but then I'm biased!
Bit of B roll video: https://youtu.be/-xEteHFHc3g - Hopefully fills in most angles!
