I bought a BMW last December that came with the plate "M6 KYT" and given the deal I got the plate was pretty much free!

I just need to find the right M6 owner now. laugh

We do a little exploring with the Landy so the missus bought me this.

Now my mate Jason is trying to buy it off me. I can’t sell it, it was a gift.

I retained the plate off my old e36. R34 LHO (real ho). Was tempted to put it on the missus's car. Hardly a great plate but it only cost £80 to put it on retention.
I saw a Nissan Qashqai today with the plate E60. Just checked it online and it’s a 2014 with 90k miles. I think there is a thread about plates that must be worth 10x the value of the car they are on. I bet many a 5 series owner would like that plate - I wonder where they got it from and how much they paid, they are always old duffers that look like they have zero interest in cars!

Perhaps they have an interest in cherished numbers and not cars?

In many cases, plates get passed through families or car to car by people for decades.

I've often thought about getting one of those six digit plates, just for aesthetic reasons.

Paid £250 for B6 FEA, got sick of having to get new plates made up with every new car for the trailers so looked for the cheapest plate for sale locally.

Not really bargain basement but a bargain given that's it a 2x2 plate - I bought it for £2.5k. 76 being the year I was born and AV my initials....

This one was a cheapie from the DVLA and is an attempt to spell my surname, Voice.
