AA Home Recovery?

Had the AA recover my winter shed range rover the other day after a suspected diff/transfer box failure. The driver mentioned something about waiting 3 days to have it recovered to a garage to avoid having to pay, can I call the AA out to collect the car from my house and take it to the garage? I didn't think they offered that

Officially you get one recovery per breakdown, and no repeat callout within 28 days for the same fault. So strictly speaking, no it isn't something they offer.

Why did you not get the AA to recover the car to the garage the first time?

I have had the RAC tow me straight to the garage before.

Depends what’s on the paperwork.

I had a car recovered to my house by AA when in broke down on a bank holiday weekend and there were no garages open. The recovery driver recorded it needed a further tow to garage and they came out and sorted it for free. This was 2 years ago.

Many many moons ago it was a standard service RAC offered if you broke down out of hours but not sure if that’s Still the case.

It was late at night, couldn't get a hold of the garage and the front wheels are locked up so it would have to stay wherever it was put down. I just wanted to get home by that point
