Pull over, I want to go past

Lol pipe down Ronnie Pickering .
If you don't want to get undertaken move left when it's clear.
As someone who when faced with someone doing 60-65 mph in the centre lane when I’m in the left lane doing around 68 mph, I agree, I check the rear view, keep a very close eye on the clown in the centre lane, then just go past him in the left lane.If you don't want to get undertaken move left when it's clear.
Your advice to Ronnie Pickering is correct as far as I can concerned.
I used the M3 London bound earlier this week. The usual CV19 messages and / or prepare for Jan 1st messages, that have been shown for the last few months, had gone from the side gantry and been replaced with "keep left unless overtaking". Nobody following that advice so i managed to go from J4 to J3 entirely in the left hand lane at 70, whilst going past various vehicles doing anywhere between 50-60 in the middle lanes.

The prepare for the 1st of Jan signs make me laugh, what do they expect us to do? Build an Anderson shelter and panic buy loo roll? Or perhaps get ready for those sunny uplands they promised...AlexRS2782 said:

You don’t need my input Alex, but FWIW, you did exactly the right thing IMO,but you shouldn’t have had to do it that way.

Crikey. Unhinged doesn't even stretch. Must have some kind of diagnosable condition - I note the fact all of the videos I can see on his channel involve him being in lane 2 / 3 for the duration. At GPS 60 - 66mph...Edit: Where did you find this channel? I'm going through the videos completely taken aback... This really is a goldmine.

There was a thread about it some time a
go, the video crops up every now and then.
That video I linked to is generally considered the worst clip, but there’s others.

Good lord... It wasn't so long ago that the M3 was a road where real progress was made. Get to Sunbury Cross and you were on the promised land for motorists. In the 90s that was where West London VMaxed. When coming back from Salisbury a few times in the early 00's I remember sitting in L1 at 90 and most of the traffic was passing me. Rarely used it between then and 2018, then found it had become the opposite. Angry people with no purpose but to meander in L2 and L3 baulking overtakes by people who have located the cruise controls, cameras everywhere, Road Captains who believe L1 is a taxi-way for getting on and off the motorway only so cut you up as they descend into final approach for Farnborough West...The M3 is rubbish these days.

On the M25 I often stick to lane one. I can undertake 20-30 cars at a time and only have to move out once every minute or two to overtake an HGV. Then back to lane one to undertake the next load of lane-hoggers. By far the quickest way of making progress on the M25.
No, no... I think you are talking about the M... Erm M62, yes. L1 on the M25 is terrible... Covered in nails. Ooh it's slow. I'd suggest others should stick to L3+.(Seriously, dude... Don't tell them! That's the Donkmeister VIP express lane! Crap drivers on the M25 have saved me literally days of my life by leaving it clear for my exclusive use)

When the M4 opened between London and Cardiff, I met a chap about 1972 whose daily driver was a Ferrari Daytona who told me he regularly did the 140 miles from the start of the motorway in an hour (lived London, had factory in Cardiff). I wonder what time you could get it down to if you could teleport a modern hypercar back to the 70's. When I was a lad (well, not such a lad maybe, I'm thinking 40 years ago) my routine m-way or DC cruising speed was 95. On two occasions I was stopped by traffic police at that speed and let off both times. (Unfortunately I was once stopped at 110 and lost my licence for two months).
When they introduced speed cameras I thought it would have been logical to increase all speed limits - instead there have been widespread reductions in speed limits. Who can say whether it has been a significant factor in the reduction in traffic injuries - which I believe has been mainly achieved by vehicle engineering improvements.
Driving times are much longer nowadays.
This is something that really boils my urine.
I followed a guy the other night doing 60mph in lane 2 on the A12. Traffic slowed down continuously and kept seeing people undertake this Seat Leon, I get behind him, follow for around 30 seconds and then give him a single flash, immediate brake lights and then screen wash on (which didn’t really bother me as I wasn’t close enough and my auto wipers would have picked it up even if I did). Check mirror, pass on the left and over and done with. Or so I thought.
Until my employer received a driving complaint from said numpty (my cars marked). Luckily my dash cam footage in the car showed he was being a tosser and they told him to do one.
Just move over when you’ve finished overtaking. It’s not rocket science. Some of us are trying to do 100-150 mile drives, people like him adding 2-3 minutes at each stage really add on to the end of our day. It’s not unreasonable to want to do the speed limit really is it.

And this is why i like towing a caravan, i sit in lane 1 doing 55 - 60 without a care in the world, leave the angry stressy driving to everyone else.
What was that? What if i'm not towing it?
Then i'm probably sat in lane 1, or the required lane as sometimes lane 1 diverts to somewhere i dont want to go, at 70mph.

Seeing more and more folk expecting drivers to constantly duck in and out the inside lane so they can do 85 without deviating from the middle lane. If there is no decent gap to return left then you need to continue that overtake, the truck on the horizon may just be getting overtaken.....
A good half of the middle lane hogger complainants are moaning because they want to do it themselves, but slightly faster.

I have noticed driving standards have dropped recently, for example i had to go to Nottinghamshire recently and involved driving up the M1. I saw one guy losing his mind because the guy in the middle lane would not move out of his way. Said fella that would not move was doing 70-75 and matey boy was inches from his bumper, lights on full beam trying to get him to move over.
The right hand lane was empty and had been for about 4 miles.
Unbelievable
