The reason this gets talked about, and not Ascot is that this happened at a motorsport event, not horseracing. This is a motoring forum. What seems to be most telling is the Vmax forum here on PH hasn't been posted in since May.
Plenty of topics in there talking about no spectators, no hangers on.
I guess things have changed.
Used to be £700 / £800 quid or whatever it was to come along... once invited...
these days £300 / £400 and pretty much anyone can come along it seems.

When Craig was on here a lot more (pre vivendi days)
It was very low numbers of cars, you either had to be invited or submit all the details of your cars and then if it was deemed acceptable- you’d pay a decent lump of money and go.
The video about showed a stupid number of cars. Making money has obviously become the main goal.

You will find, usually in the lounge, a thread about Ascot, primarily focusing on some of the outfits the ladies wear, but also the parlous states people get into and the disgraceful antics they get up to
Are we not allowed an opinion on someones behavior unless they happen to be the same race/creed/colour/religion as ourselves ? We do need to ask ourselves what is our motivation but I really dont believe that this is because DMO and Ricky are black, its because they make bad decisions.
And seriously "Gammony", the irony in making an accusation of racism yet use a pejorative term specifically aimed at middle aged white men based on skin colour.

I don't understand the insults that are floating about in this thread. Some people sound no better than those they are trying to sound superior to. There is clearly a lot of "simpletons" who would love to have the chance to test their cars top end performance. Loads of people like to do drag racing too.
The last place I'd expect to see them insulted for doing so is on a car forum.
I’m on a R8 WhatsApp group. You couldn’t find a more pleasant upbeat friendly group, it’s such a breath of fresh air- no bickering, fighting, rows. Brilliant. Assumed everyone would be slightly chubby middle aged men.
A couple weeks ago a few of them met and posted a photo. Looked like the kind of dodgy guys in that VMAX clip! Shady estate gangster types. And the lady who looks after the group is about 28 (and very attractive as it goes). None of which was what expected. Made me think again about my prejudices, not that I’m going all woke.

I think LLF is above all this nonsense - this is coming from someone who doesnt really like him or his channel but you could tell quite clearly over some of the media release hes uncomfortable. DMO reeled him in a peach to get into this rubbish. I guess he should have tried to ignore it and rise above it but its prob due to his demographic audience that he's felt the need to "represent"!.
