Hi guys it’s Shmee here and welcome to another episode of *thwap*
I'd watch that.

His face is just so punchable I can't watch his videos, but if I knew a fist was incoming I'd stick it out for at least 10 seconds.

Going back around 15 years now I used to frequent 'sound-off' competitions in Essex/East London and sometimes further afield. I had a fairly conservative setup but did compete in SPL competitions on the odd occasion. All I recall from that era was everyone being friendly and people from all walks of life having a laugh. I don't remember any attitude, yes there was competition with some of the guys turning up with £20k+ builds and other crazy stuff but everyone just had a laugh. It felt like a proper community. It feels very different now, maybe I'm just getting old but lot more negativity and trouble with some of the folks turning up these days. It's similar on the streets to some extent, an earlier post (think DA) mentioned lack of father figures and role models..whilst that won't be a single cause for all the issues we see it certainly is one of them.
I grew up without a father figure for much of my life but was very fortunate to have strong/good male role models in our family and that had a huge bearing on the choices I made in my life...easily could of gone a v different route. I don't condone physical discipline (smacking etc) on children but growing up as a 2nd generation immigrant there was a fear factor for me...doing something wrong and getting an absolute beating for it...they did me no damage(possibly a few brain cells but who's counting right) but on a serious note it only helped me to remain on the right track and steer my moral compass as it were. Bit of a tangent there but in summary trying to say... Attempt to avoid fighting at car shows where possible!

Much the same here. I'm Russian/ Spanish with a boxer for a father. Ten bells used to be knocked out of me, taught me respect, even if I did let his tyres down and piss in his washer bottle.
Society in general though has gone rapidly down the pan, Vmax (plus other events) are testament.
Organisers of this type of thing need to cancel invites and vet on the gate. Heavy security plus 'in the knows' at the gate vetting these neanderthals would result in a civilised gathering..

Can you give us a rule set you're going to use to vet people on the gate? I mean we could all likely do it with 90%+ accuracy... but how are you going to put these rules down on paper without someone crying discrimination?

They don't want a load of those bellends that go running with lycra on turning up, they're like a version of those knobbers on bikes who can't even afford a bike.
Better off with the hood rats IMO

Is that why THESE people have those tiny wee handbags?

They'd be far better with bigger ones with a brick inside.

Instead of their tampons.

Fannies the lot of them

No tracksuits

That would cover 90% of them

I put that in a Wanted ad for a motorbike - it caused some consternation by the wearers, but agreement by everyone else on FB laugh

I can honestly say I had never heard of DMO or Ricky before this thread. I can’t say I am disappointed by that, it looks like I have missed two weapons grade fknuggets...

Quite like LLF, I know some of his videos divide opinion...but on the whole he isn’t too bad. Discovered Evolve from him, they seem to be a very professional setup.
LLF did a nice video when he visited a young Autistic lad and surprised him and his mates after school with a ride in some of his cars. Other videos lik the world's fastest garden shed was good to watch as well. DMO is more of a wind-up merchant though.
