In fairness the clues are there to the event

Tracksuits and those weird Male handbags the councils wear.

Surprised I didn’t see a Zafira in the background

This punch up was nothing to do with the vmax event or type of people that attend.
Well, that's patently untrue though.

This whole display is extremely chav and certainly doesn't reflect well on the event. One for respectable sorts to avoid.

Looks like an event to avoid at all costs.
I've been to a few and it's absolutely not.
It is now.

‘Init bruv’ is extremely dated and is not how any young person has spoken for at least 10 years.

Those characters would be know as ‘roadmen’
Their bag is their ‘pouch’
Their salutation would be ‘easy fam’ or ‘easy cuz’

Just when I think I can’t lose any more respect for these YT idiots they raise the bar. Or maybe lower it would be more accurate.

Tried watching a DMO video once that was linked in another thread and I’m pretty sure the 30 seconds I managed to cringe my way through also shaved off a few precious IQ points. The formula of his “content” definitely seemed to be “act as edgy and as loud as possible”. Definitely the worst the YT brigade has to offer.

LLF isn’t quite as bad but still cringeworthy with the speeds and actions he pulls on film, plus that M4 finance thing was just tragic.

That Supra is for from being my cup of tea, but it takes a real scumbag to attack someone else’s pride and joy. Takes something worse to video and upload it for laughs.

All in all this loud, obnoxious behaviour is one reason why I stay away from certain car events, it all seems to be a race to the bottom of the barrel and it isn’t any wonder that the Plod and Joe Public tar a lot of car events and enthusiasts (even the good ones) with the same brush.

But there are no stairs to dominate, nor lawns and sausages...
There may be some cans of Redbull, however.

If you'd been you would understand, they are always very good events. The majority of the drivers running koenigseggs, Ferraris and suchlike dont tend to wear trackies and stand with hands in keks etc.. they certainly don't end up scrapping.

It's a one off today due to something unrelated to the actual event is the point I was making having attended a fair few myself and having had a great time.
The guys in the video have previously just been there and enjoyed themselves racing against supercars in their modded bmws. Yes they might be chavvy, no one is saying otherwise, they are the minority at the event is all.
Have met some great people at vmax events and never seen any suggestion of trouble.

I do wish people would stop using the generic term 'Asian'.
In this case, what term should be used?

Can't see me ever attending a vmax event seeing that. They have changed a lot over the last few years.

Just befause you have stopped using this particular term does not mean it is indicative of typical teenage London street gangs.

Hi there,

Been going to VMAX events for about 13 years.

Its a really well run event and Craig and his team work really hard to make the events not just fun but very safe for all concerned when it comes to running cars down the runway. In the new CoVid era they have also put in measures such as temperature checking everyone on arrival and trace forms for peoples details.

Such a shame to see this happen today by a few idiots.

Oh and for anyone that cares about the cars Oliver Webb today broke the VMAX record with a run of 246.96mph in the Zachs Garage Koenigsegg Regera.

Regards

Tim
