To be fair, he was a surprisingly good guy, and didn't confirm any preconceptions whatsoever

No explanation for the money flying around, nobody seems to be hampered by having to do a job, but has several 50, 100. 200k projects going
He's basically come to earn a living promoting cars and enthusiasts builds across the UK. He'll review them and speak with the drivers about their builds. He makes his money with the views and with ad revenue etc. He's recently started competitions to win cars as his audience has grown, so that's obviously another stream of income, which he predominantly seems to inject back into his channel and his content.

Because of his growing profile the build on his M5 was effectively paid for in a partnership with Evolve where he talks all about the build and shows it to his audience. Mutually beneficial in that sense.

I like Ricky, he's honest and straightforward, no pretence. Has a good sense of humour, down to earth and is really passionate about cars. Makes some really good content on YouTube though it'll obviously not be to everyone's tastes. Fundamentally I think he's a good bloke but he's not perfect and he got too drawn into the whole male ego bks recently. Bit pathetic and embarrassing on the whole but I don't feel he instigated it, he could've withdrawn from it more though. All in all playground stuff IMO that boiled over into an absolute stshow.

Still stand by my take that he's a good bloke, DMO is an absolute tool though. Think of him as a loud and obnoxious male Paris Hilton, except for him it isn't an act he really is an adult child who isn't all that bright and seems to think being a gobste is endearing. Only his thing is cars and not handbags. Loves him some attention though.

His antics have an audience precisely for the reason he loves drama and stirring up st. For some reason it follows him everywhere but it's never his fault. It's lowest common denominator stuff but train wreck entertainment like that draws in the social media generation so it just encourages him to act more of a tool and it's self fulfilling.

I don't follow DMO much at all, so my impression might be unfair/harsh but that's the one he's given me. All in all though the UK car scene on YouTube isn't all that bad and people shouldn't write it off because of something like this, as cretinous as it makes the scene look.

That aspect makes me squirm, LLF's latest video was at the TG track with the Arthur, the older gent who has the 1000 bhp plus TTRS, he came across quite well.

I think if he cuts down on the ridiculous on road antics he will be alright, other Youtubers manage to give an impression of how well a car performs without going flat out, full throttle in some very, very quick cars for ages, obviously doing massive speed. Only place for that stuff is a runway, Matt Watson has nailed that with the drag races he does, short and to the point, Harry Metcalfe treads the line very well on road, erring on the side of caution.

Quite this.

A pair of fking idiots (cretinous indeed), I wouldn't want anywhere near my car or driving near me. Anything they are associated with now smells of st, AFAIAC. That Evolve tuning company looks like a bunch of innits who supplement their income selling bags of white powder. Innit fam, insta insta.

Hubnut generally doesn't drive anything that will break any speed limits to be fair, he could be hammering that Citroen Visa LNA harder than DMO on his quad bike and nobody would ever know smile

Being fair to OB, his job is to clear up the mess caused by people who drive like that on our roads. And that aside, there is no reason or excuse to put others at risk for your own financial gain. Such people should either drive responsibly, with consideration for those around them or be professional in their work and hire appropriate venues, of which there is no shortage in the UK.

Let’s keep FaF in the cinemas for kids to watch and not being acted out in public roads by adults!!

It was the implication that Imran (who has worked pretty hard to get Evolve off the ground and is well liked in the community) and his team are drug dealers based on looks alone.

Poor show IMO.

As for the people who film their risky antics on public roads, I have no time for them and don't watch their content.

I don't understand why PH has censored the word 'astute' in your post.

DMO seems to have a track record of things not being his fault:

Closing that motorway - not his fault (his followers just decided to stop in a show of solidarity......) but lapped it up for YT views.

Being pulled over by the Police - not his fault, apparently acting like a chump on a quad bike shouldn't bring the attention of the Police.

Closing another road in 'respekt' to a friend who had died - there is a time and a place for showing your respect to the recently departed, a convoy stopping on the approach to a roundabout isn't one of them.

I agree with your views. I have always liked Ricky and following him on his journey finding his way as his youtube channel accelerated and became more popular.

I don't support him not wearing a seatbelt, as someone with a wide audience that is just not appropriate and some of the driving on the public highway is too extreme. I wish he had just realised he was being drawn down into the muck at that particular vmax and the lead up and realise he has plenty mature sensible viewers who get completely turned off and away but such ridiculous behaviour. I hope he builds it all back up where it was and keeps going forward. Good luck to him.

Evolve really didn't need the publicity that LLF brings IMO

they 've been doing fine and growing in both business and there online videos with the constant VMAX attendances showcasing what they can do.

LLF been on the scene with him for 5 mins and he's already pulled some racing for cash stunt then escalating in to this VMAX situation.

First video in since being punched in the face and passenger in a car with no seat belt. You really couldn't make it up. For whatever reason these "influencers" are roll models and should really start acting like one.

I'm no fan of the stazi like camera grassers but when you show yourself breaking the law so obviously on a youtube video you deserve a call from the cops.
