1255kgs! That is quite heavy for a small hatchback. I wonder why it weighs so much?
Weights now include 75kg added on for an average driver, so I think in reality it's only about 50kg heavier than the Mk7 ST rather than the hundred-odd the stats suggest

They won't as they've said a million times there's no business case for it.
But you can get a Yaris GR which isn't far off the price and has AWD and weighs about the same, that's where I'd take my Fiesta money

Yep... hoping that the Yaris GR leads to the next generation of homologation specials!

That's a good shout, I'd also be tempted to look at the i30N at this price point, if I needed something a touch bigger.

Great car though, the boggo ST is a hoot to drive, Ford have really nailed it with these, the last one was brilliant too.

Or you can think of it as the same weight as a Lotus Exige S with only 2 seats scratchchin

Yep, I'm upgrading from impressive to epic. Perhaps he's just been released, or escaped biggrin.

A couple of years ago I could have bought one of the last Focus RSes for that price. I think Ford are just playing the numbers game in the hope some people just pay that price and to give their dealers more wiggle room for discounts. No way should this be more than about £23k.

6 years ago when I bought a new ST for her indoors, I thought it was definitely a kids or woman's car, I still do. Blinging up a Fiesta that should be sub £20k today is a bit silly.

What's a "woman's car"??? (and first time I've heard the term "her indoors" for about 30 years).

Quite like the fiesta, typical PH thread with complaints about price and weight. But I'm sure that they will sell just as well as fiestas have continued to do so over the last decade.

Yeah, Mrs Podie bought the Fiesta because of the colour - nothing to do with the fact it's probably best in class for its handling rolleyes

Still, at least when she bought the Griffith it was becuase it matched her lipstick. Another typical woman's car.

FFS - PH misogynistic drivel at its finest.

I agree 27k is a lot but where would you find a new car with as much kit as a well specced ST for sub 20k?

With discounts an ST3 (w/performance pack) is about £22k and I really don't see what's cheaper out there new that's as well-rounded, has as much tech and 'higher end' components, or is as fun to drive.

A point on the performance as well, my previous car was a Focus ST with a dreamscience tune on it putting it up to high 200s bhp and a very healthy torque increase-the Mk8 doesn't feel very much slower in a straight line and down a twisty road the Focus would have put me in a hedge trying to go anywhere near as quickly.as.is possible with the Fiesta.

What can you find that's as well spec'd with the performance & handling for a LIST PRICE of sub 20k? Seeing as it's a a loaded Llimited Edition lets say 24k
