One of my neighbours has a chipped E92 335d. So, no, it is impossible.

Around the corner, there is a painter and decorator who still uses a white Astramax van. So he is without a doubt the village speed champion.

It got me thinking, do you own the fastest car on your road/street/Countryside Estate? If not, what beats you? If so, what's your nearest competition?
Next door one side has an Aston Martin Vantage and an M3 and the other side has an SLK55 and an RS6.

I have a Vitara diesel, so although we haven't had a race I'm not confident in my chances should the situation arise.

G20 330e vs many many Astras, Insignia, Transits, Fiestas, Civics in a sea of white, grey or black. My bright blue 3 series and wife's bright (ish) green GLA stand out a bit.

Not sure; I have a VX220 supercharged which is light and nimble. I've lived here a few months and haven't seen too much of any interest about, but every morning at about 6am I hear something that sounds like a space ship on steroids so I'll venture that might be quick.

I'm the quickest round bends though, definitely tongue out

M3 Comp here, youngster across the road has an M4.
Both the fastest since a chap a few doors down has moved out.
He seemed to have 2-3 new cars delivered every 6 months. Over the past 3 years I can recall a DB11, Huracan Performante, Murcielago SV, Bentayga, Ferrari FF, McLaren 720 and 570. Oddly no Porsche.
Suburban street in NW London.

That is an awesome photograph. Would make a good background picture.

Your neighbour might have the faster car but you're winning the game, by some considerable margin, imo smile

Yep and the bar is pretty low to be honest. My Octavia VRS has 220ps. Leon FR opposite is a 190ps 2.0 TSI, a few houses down there is a Kia Stinger but it's the diesel. Apart from those most of my neighbours are older retired with no interest in cars. Aygos, fiestas etc.

Easily, but there are only 10 houses in our cul-de-sac. If I'll retain the "crown" in my M2C when the Mrs' X3 M40d arrives shortly - only on dry and warm days below 70 I expect!

I used to have the fastest car in my whole apartment block, over 100 apartments, up until yesterday, sold me beloved 2017 m135i, but for good reason as on Wednesday I move from my 2 bed flat to a 4 bed detached house. But damn that thing was quick, really do thing it put out better numbers than factory suggested. I’ve had m3s,4/s some amgs up to 60/70 and only then there power advantage takes over. The 135s&140s launch so we’ll off the line. Hope you enjoy your car my man. I’ll be back to bmw power next year when I get my next car .... deciding between m6 gran coupe or m5. Any advice piston heads??

Easily, but it’s a low bar on the account of not that many houses on the cul-de-sac and there is very little of any interest, while looking out the window trying to spy anything interesting I also noticed there was a distinct lack of colour as well as speed. Our three cars equal the number of other cars on the entire street that aren’t ‘mono-chrome’. rolleyes

I chose the wrong street to live in. My street, all 3 of my cars are way ahead of anything here. There is nothing in this street that excites. The closest would be an MX-5. Everything else is run of the mill.

Now the street behind me, loaded with 911's, R8's, RS7. Yeh I'm very slow. That street behind me even has a C class Brabus, (on closer inspection is a C180 barry'd up laughyuck )

My Vantage is easily beaten by the bloke with the Aventador and the other chap with a Panamera Turbo.
There's always a bigger fish. laugh

I think so. There’s eleven houses. Next door has a Macan but it’s the bog standard one with the Golf R engine. I’ve got a Focus ST-3. The rest of the street is Audi and Merc Diesels.

I live in Holland. Tesla model S, 3 and X everywhere. I don’t have one. So I guess I don’t even have as fast a car as the bloody taxi drivers!

I think our cul de sac has a pretty interesting take on this one as the podium is super close!

My 2015 F Type AWD R
Vs
2012 Lamborghini Gallardo Performante Spyder
Vs
2014 Ferrari California

There is also a DeLorean just around the corner but not technically on our road.

Guessing very very close in a line between the 3, with the Lambo taking it on a track?

The rest are generic hatches and SUVs really.

I think the De Lorean would take that one quite easily. Be there and back before the others even left.

When we had a Golf R we would have been, but now i've got a Golf GTI and the Mrs has a Firsta ST, I am assuming the chap down the road with the Z4M is the champion again. We are comfortably 2nd and 3rd though! Nothing else of note on the road.
