Did the designer get bored or fall asleep whilst trying to finish the rear quarter? It just looks like someone gave up!

Just as the e-pace was initially released my OH was in the process of changing her car she was really unsure of what to get and tested a few different cars. We were really excited to try the e-pace as it seemed to tick a few boxes. What a dull car! It was just so bland and unexciting. In the end the most excited the Jaguar Salesman got was when it got dark and he showed us the puddle lights which depict a mummy Jaguar and her babies. He was really proud of it. That's all it had, blandness and silly puddle lights. This seems to look broadly the same and weigh more. I'm still of the opinion that JLR will soon be come just LR. Jags, including this one, seem so poor, they're niche and yet not very good.

I haven’t looked at spec. I think there’s a builder button on there so maybe. I feel like they’ve missed a trick after no smaller electric cars after doing such a good job on the I pace.

I like it, most likely the one I Would buy over a x3 or Q3. Would be a hard choice between this in a Tiguan though

Much prefer the X3 if I’m honest

A generic, FWD, four cylinder, cheap, suburban runaround is what passes as a Jaguar now then. I can see why the company surges from strength to strength.

Surely it's more like an X1 competitor rather than an X3. It's much smaller.

Maybe I had forgotten about the X1 tbh, I guess it also goes up against the Q2 aswell as a q3.

It is the X1/X2, Q3 rival
FPACE is the X3, Q5 rival

I never really got the epace. Its the only jag that had no purpose .
It seemed to swim in a market that has no aspirational appeal dominated by Kia,s Fords, Audi, Nissan BMW etc.

Its targeting the same market is Mini Countryman or Fiat 500x I think, just for those with more money and wanting something slightly more 'different'. Young, wealthy, up market in cities etc is my guess.

I have been reading these comments and I am really disappointed that so many people seem to be down on our domestic car types. Everything from Germany is great ?! Over the years I have worked for many dealerships and I know that some of the German brands that I have had experience with suffer many of the same quality/reliability issues as many other cars.
I won’t pretend that I am not a big fan of Jaguars in general. I own an E type and an XKR. My wife has an E pace. Her car has to put up with a very gruelling commute every day and also long runs to family in South Wales ( pre lockdown of course) . It has been totally reliable and in my opinion is a very nice place to be especially when it is lashing it down outside. When the time comes to replace it we shall be looking at the new model with great interest.
Over and out.

where i live a lot of people are employed by jlr and the stories of unreliability are real. more annoying is everyone round here has jlr cars and every single one slates the dealerships including me - they are atrocious and not a patch on the german brands.

You're kidding right? I got to the point of saving my local BMW dealer principle in my phone book due to the st BMW pulled over my 5 years of 5 series ownership. Loved the car, but BMW were shysters of the highest order, from memory....

1) on collection of the car (2 years, approved used) they had used the wrong colour touch up pen over the entire front. I asked them to sort it.. They delivered the car to me with a touch up kit for me to redo it. They also left me 12 miles of fuel in it, on a near £30k purchase....
2) They broke my glove box door & didn't tell me (*sorry sir, he probably leaned on it reaching to something)
3) They returned my car with only 2/3 of it washed repeatedly, and a lovely big scratch from a dirty sponge (*it's a free wash sir, only done as a courtesy sir. If you bring it back we will rewash it SIR - after a £550 annual service).
4) They'd always try and charge me something like £7 for windscreen washer fluid top up. They charged me a fortunate for wipers I didn't ask for, they charged a fortune for a courtesy car's excess waiver....lots of of little stty bits despite charging £135/hour!!

5) Not including 5 different lots of warranty work undertaken as well!

I'm sorry but BMW are great vehicles, but to consider them reliable or their dealerships professional is patently incorrect.
