I've got a 2005 Range Rover Sport with 262k miles on the clock.
Bought it March 2020 and have only put around 4k or 5k of those miles on myself but it's been reliable so far.
It's the 4.4L V8 engine, I don't think I've ever managed more than 23mpg with it, and around town it can be more like 15mpg.
Assuming £1 a litre and 23mpg that's about £52k of fuel. The paperwork I got when I bought the car includes the original invoice for the car and it cost its first owner £47k new so less than the fuel that's gone into it over the years!
I have an '05 Vogue supercharged which I bought new.... it's been 100% reliable. But the fuel costs have been thrown into sharp focus by the arrival of a Tesla into my garage! Hilariously, almost unbelievably, cheap in comparison!Bought it March 2020 and have only put around 4k or 5k of those miles on myself but it's been reliable so far.

Sorry - slight drift!
Bit late to this; but my pals got an E46 328i with 229k miles on it, or there abouts
It's had the standard servicing, he changes the oil once every 6 months and it's needed for nothing
Runs superbly and still a very smooth/slick engine with very little oil usage
Bit of rust on the rear arches as they always do; but it's passed MOT after MOT with very few issues!
I'd say look after the car well and it has no reason to have issues
