Fewer buyers even fewer new cars available at higher prices with no discounts shocker.

Just buy a stelvio, there cant be many new cars about with such big discounts anymore.

Not doing anythingfor my residuals though

Interesting. Have there always been big discounts on these, or only recently?

Relative folly to buy a heavily discounted car like that Alfa.

May look cheap but its too expensive in the first place and depreciation will continue to be heavy turning what appears to be a cheap car into a costly one.

Bet you would be saying the exact opposite if you sold alfas.
Reduced supply means these will be unicorns, blue chip guaranteed etc

Nope your words not mine.

Very few Alfas prove to be unicorns.

I know everyone hates Porsches on here but our new Macan GTS is finally on its way and will be ready n a couple of weeks time. Dilemma is keep the year old one we have and sell the new one on (I have been told £20k upsell is easily achievable) or sell the current one for what we paid and keep the new one.

Still waiting for our Defender that was ordered before the Macan so JLR still have supply problems

Thats the biggest I have seen by about 4k, they dont seem to be in short supply either although there are a lot less options and colour choices etc.

Only a few hardcore Porsche haters on here who in reality are closet fanbois no doubt. hehe

Unless you want to upset your Porsche dealer by flipping the new order I would sell the older Macan preferably through your OPC then rinse and repeat next time with the new car.

Whilst there are a few new Porsches coming through lead times generally are extending due to increasing componentry shortages affecting most manufacturers and this situation will tend to worsen before it improves.

I'd be willing to upset a Porsche dealer for a lot less than £20k

It really doesn't
There are plenty of other dealers to choose from and the period where they can afford to pick who they'll sell cars to won't last much longer anyway.

Buying a Porsche really isn't like buying a Honda, to get build slots for GTS and GT models you need to have a relationship with a dealer as the build slots are so limited for those models.

Anyone paying £20k overs for a Macan perhaps ought to consider professional help.

My iX3 Pro arrives in a couple of weeks and BMW have just increased the price for new orders by around £3.5K and also removed any discount and increased the APR on the finance packages. All in all, this means the same car is now £6K more expensive than it was a few months ago when financed over 2 years on straight HP. Increase the term or buy on PCP and it's even more expensive.
