Not sure it deserves a place on the 'Badly modified car' thread....BUT

someone went to the lengths of getting a sticker made up for it...

Oh, the wipers were there on the front screen so clearly the driver has some sort of prejudice against front and rear wipers.

I just don't get it...

I sort of get the rear wiper removal, as some cars do look better without it and if it's a sunny weekend car, it makes no odds anyway. What I don't get is then sticking a big sticker where the wiper was. Kind of defeats the point of cleaning up the back end.

And have his plums removed for good measure. What a beautiful car wrecked. So sad.

It's a mute point, as the majority of drivers fail to use rear wipers even during biblical type weather. If they do use them, the said wipers are left wiping a dry rear window long after the storm has passed.

My car doesn't have a rear wiper (quite common for a saloon), and I sometimes think "it would be good to have a rear wiper right now". Seems daft to remove something useful, especially when you end up replacing it with a rubber bung.
"Rear wash/wipe" was posh option on hatchbacks some years ago. Something that these days the modifiers would be retrofitting and proudly declaring in forum signatures.

The very very old point of those who don't give signals popped up again for me recently, where a person who for the purposes of this post shall be named Knob, pulled out a few yards in front of me, causing me to brake to avoid T boning him. He then rocketed away, but was not consistent, and his speeds on an unrestricted B road then varied between 25mph to somewhere near 80mph. At each junction he failed to give any kind of signal, and where the road curved, he decided it was OK to go straight through each one instead of keeping left (sometimes coming close to clipping the verge on the opposite side of the road)
His actions, and in particular failure to give signals, were useful in that they gave me all the information I needed, to determine that the driver of the vehicle in question was indeed an utter knob, whose brain regretfully did not have sufficient capacity, to handle driving a car whilst at the same time giving adequate signals for those on the road around him.
As noted before, the driving equivalent of someone, who cannot chew gum, and walk at the same time.

Two today
The knob straddling both lanes entering a roundabout - at least by straddling both lanes he was clearly indicating he was a risk to other road users.

The next knob who, in the right hand lane entering a roundabout, decided there was clearly a big dragon on the roundabout and so the best line to take involved driving into my lane forcing me to take avoiding action even though I was turning left and she was going 3/4 of the way around.

Ffs does nobody know how to use roundabouts these days.

I was travelling in the back of a work colleagues car a while ago, on the way back from a meeting. I noticed he had left his rear wiper going for quite a while after the rain has stopped and it sounded to be struggling. I pointed this out to him but he said it was fine. We arrived at the office an hour or so later with smoke coming from the wiper motor laugh

I don't normally comment on these threads, but I saw this and had to say something. Why not? Obviously not during lockdown/pandemic but in "normal" times, why wouldn't you? I drove for around 7 hours just to see/drive around Swindon's Magic Roundabout, so driving hundreds of miles for dinner isn't out of my realm.
I know I'm not "normal" in terms of the general public but I'm sure I'm not out of the ordinary on this forum.

I wouldn’t drive over 300 miles for a kebab, unless it was part of a planned overnight stay.

Indeed. If you drove 300 miles for a kebab, and didn't stay the night, it would be stone cold by the time you got it home, and re heated kebabs never really taste right. smile
