Always wanted one of these for some strange reason

I remember when I was about 7 one of the mums at the boarding school I was at had one of these. I loved cars even at that tender young age and thought it was the coolest car in the car park. I still remember the first time I saw it. However, I can’t remember the last time I saw one......maybe that one back in the 70’s!
I saw a crashed one in France. It had gone under an artic, roof removed down to bonnet level. No signs of a roll over structure, just grp
I remember the first time I saw one in 1977. The owner was showing it off at a canoeing event I was at. He drove it across a field down to the river's edge and promptly got it stuck, absolutely no off-road capability at all. It had to be pulled out by tractor in the end.
They were 2wd.

Talbot Alpine underneath, just a regular car. They still look fresh though even now imo.

A Vectra VXR estate in Arden Blue. I don't generally like Vauxhalls having had a couple early in my driving life and both of them being utter garbage. I like even less the absolute weapons that tend to drive fast Vauxhalls but I have a serious yearning for a massive torque steering obnoxious Vectra. No idea why, its something I've wanted for years now. Kinda feel similar about a Zafira VXR.

I might need my head testing as I'm quite close to buying one of these!

I had never heard of one of those so did a search for it and this turned up: https://jalopnik.com/a-car-you-should-know-the-suz...

Sounds like it would have been a hoot back then. The Whiz Kid name was a UK only thing, and so was the big engine!

I'd like a Renault Twizy for the commute. My commute is under 10 miles so it makes sense to drive something economical or electric but most modern electric cars are dull as hell. A twizy, albeit fairly slow, is fun to drive.

They are also terrible in January when it's -3 degrees, blowing a Gail and snowing!

Always wanted a Ferrari 400i I love the design (wasn't so keen on the later 412 bar it's interior). I know they are money pits, not particularly quick and are likely to throw a tantrum at any moment but I still like them

ARES design then did a modern version of it based on a new GTC4 Lusso which I would have in a heartbeat if my pockets were deep enough

I'd like one just for popping to the shops in, or even better a Citroen Ami if they get UK approval. I hate everything about electric 'cars' but these things I can see both a fun factor and practical use for.

I really, really want a Renault 16. Ideally a late-ish TX model but, really, anything would do

My mum was bought an SC100 Whizz Kid after I passed my test. +1 to the rust. I still haven't told her that I managed to squeeze six Sixth Form mates in it after a party. Learned many things from it, including not to suck any excess water out of the battery if I overfilled it when topping it up, make sure that the battery leads are taken off in the correct order, otherwise it's possible to weld a spanner to the car body and finally, if you take it upon yourself to wash (yes) the air filter, make sure it's completely dry before refitting. Ah, happy days....

I fancy one but am too tight to pay the battery lease monthly when it would be a pure indulgent toy to be used infrequently. I hate being tied into any monthly schemes, the cost is almost irrelevant.
