I'd like a Renault Twizy for the commute. My commute is under 10 miles so it makes sense to drive something economical or electric but most modern electric cars are dull as hell. A twizy, albeit fairly slow, is fun to drive.

I'd like one just for popping to the shops in, or even better a Citroen Ami if they get UK approval. I hate everything about electric 'cars' but these things I can see both a fun factor and practical use for.
One drive will change your mind, they are terrible. Seriously, they are a million miles behind a Daf 33, a Peruda Nipper, Suzuki Alto, or any pushbike.

I really, really want a Renault 16. Ideally a late-ish TX model but, really, anything would do

I think a Renault 16 would work as a new release on an old theme, , like the fiat 500, Mini, VW Beetle etc

You can get a powerbox to make the twizy a lot faster and for popping to the shops on your own or short commutes they could make a lot of sense. I am just waiting for the prices to come down a bit on the second hand market. They used to be 3-4k for one but one dealer has basically been buying any they see and doubling the price for the last couple of years and basically apart from the occasional private sale, they own the market and have succeeded in driving the prices up - which was probably always their plan. You often see nice condition ones which are almost 10 years old going for 7 or 9 grand when new they are 11 and now available without battery lease. (bear in mind renault sold them at £6k originally!!!). So a bit overpriced at the moment.

If they keep the price down on the Ami and revise the spec for the UK market it could be a good buy- ie like the twizy an unrestricted and slightly more powerful version (its only speed and power restricted to meet french no license requirements). Certainly more comfortable and car like than a twizy.

They are also terrible in January when it's -3 degrees, blowing a Gail and snowing!
To be fair, you can get proper windows that stay mostly sealed, a 12v heater blower. For the distance I commute, most cars are barely warmed up so the heaters arent doing much anyway.

Always wanted a Ferrari 400i I love the design (wasn't so keen on the later 412 bar it's interior). I know they are money pits, not particularly quick and are likely to throw a tantrum at any moment but I still like them

Reminds meof the Rover Vitesse...

The SC100 ? Fantastic peice of automotive history.

Wife's first car. Her sister gave it her in 1988. We scrapped it in 1990. Regrets.

Great for fording river crossings at speed. I mean the engines in the back.so the only risk is water through the air vents. My bad.

No, it's just a one off drawing done by someone who was imagining what certain cars might look like if they were revamped and released today. My favourite was the Pagoda roof Merc 280SL .

If you squint and use some artistic license, that 16 concept isn't a million miles off that new Hyundai Ioniq 5.

These 2 are getting to ridiculous cool levels in my head. Maybe a phase 1 bx instead, owner of the most cheery face ever.

Ha ha ha! As someone who grew up near to where that was filmed that raised a smile. I forgot about the car being in that - same colour too.
Ken Master's was silver wasn't it?

There's something about 'problem child' big 2 door saloons. I have similar cravings for a Rolls Royce Camargue!

Incidentally, my favourite bit of Howards' Way trivia - in real life Jan Howard and Ken Masters (or rather the actors that played them) are married and living in Cornwall!
