I want one of these. A Daihatsu HiJet Jumbo truck. Also available as Suzuki Carry, Subaru Sambar, Honda Acty etc. There's some amazing versions with a lot of tech and lots of Greddy type customisation.

I'd just like a 4WD automatic aircon version to use as an everyday car. Got no interest in making it slammed and scene.

I waste many hours on this website: https://www.japanesecartrade.com/biggrin

I don’t find that yearning strange in the slightest, that’s an incredibly desirable car IMO

I can't explain my strange yearnings for the Avantime

I have the same for some reason.

My grandad had one of these from new, and for some reason I want one now

Also want one of these. Again, I’m unclear why!

I have a hankering for an 1970’s Opel GT Coupe, love the look but would have to drop in a better engine and sort larger wheels and stance. Standard they are all show and no go.

Had one in 1971.

Sold it for spares. Many regrets since.

Have you seen what they fetch now!

for some reason a Pug 1007 appeals - but not as much as one of these...

or this particular one!

Apart from wanting a 'bizarre' Citroen SM my entire life, the thought of one of these when I eventually retire to the sun does appeal:

The 1.9 wasn’t too slow. Even now, 50 years on, 115 max isn’t too bad.
When I had my Manta GTE and was involved in the Opel club, one of the Manta guys had a very lightly modded 1.9 and it was pretty quick. He came to one of the club meets in it as he was doing stuff to his Manta and gave a few of us rides in it.
The 1.1 version certainly fell into the slow category though

My eyes keep veering towards ancient f100s to replace my modern Ford Ranger pickup.
Probably cost me more for a 50 year old than it would going out and buying brand new...but they are calling me!

When I worked for a motorcycle dealer in 1980-2, we started off with a Honda 360 Acty that burnt as much oil as fuel and then replaced it with a Daihatsu 550 which I was delegated to use to transport two motorbikes (up to 500cc) between the two branches. It would do about 40, loaded up and about 50 unloaded but it was great fun on a sunny day, windows down, engine whirring away.

Avantime another dream car of mine. I also love all the weird Japanese specials, I briefly owned an S-Cargo and would love another. The Mitsuoka Viewt mini jags are appaling and adorable simultaneously. Nissan Pao as a beach car...I could go on...

Nothing bizarre about that. I detested this kind of car years ago but have a yearning for the last of the old shape 4.8 turbo s cayennes, a totally ridiculous car that I could likely use once a week only but hey, I'm worth it....

its about need, got 2 large dogs, Missus has a lad and potentially another on the way. Just don't want something with a 2.0 Turbo etc so fancy something with power and a 8,10,12 cylinder.

Come from a 981 Cayman S so going to be totally different haha.

Nothing at all strange about wanting a Flavia. Pity that one's white but it looks great. Reasonably priced too I think.
