Best smoker barges 1-5 large [Vol 18]

We should have done thread bidding. That way the deal wouldn't lose £600 to Chris Harris and that dull bloke on the podcasts.
As you'll remember I thought quite long and hard before deciding to go with CC - most of the feedback I can find from sellers on the site is pretty positive. I'll judge them by the results. But I agree as a £4-5k car, the £600 is going to have more of an effect, and while I, as the seller, don't pay it, it'll clearly have an impact on the price there car sells for. And this way I do at least avoid all the other hassle that goes with selling a car.junglie said:

How much might a car like that be expected to sell for?
Interested also as I would like a big engined, large estate with a tow bar and live in a village just outside Bath.It must be fate!

Ouch, that sucks about the Cat C, but still a wonderful car.

I'd have your arm off at £4k. rejn said:
Thanks for all the positive comments. It is an amazing car - I've loved it in the time I've had it. As we all know on here, you can't beat the quality of a W124, and I fell in love with the spec when I first saw it.
I hate selling cars at the best of times, but seeing this one leave will be difficult.
I love it too, and the interior colours really work for me. Dark brown leather seats look so right to my eyes. I hate selling cars at the best of times, but seeing this one leave will be difficult.
edit . . . but don't worry threadists; not going to bid. Just drool !

I've got the Winter Pack which includes heated wheel - it'll be my first so I'm quite excited about it in that rather sad pathetic way that I would never confess anywhere else but which I know will be tolerated here.
Am sticking with LED lights rather than <voice and pinkie> 'laser' <voice and pinkie>.
FFS stop flirting and post the spec. We'll amend it for you appropriately Am sticking with LED lights rather than <voice and pinkie> 'laser' <voice and pinkie>.

You fkers are a bad influence. I have just noticed that I did already have the upgraded speakers pack, so adding Harman Kardon seemed a sensible move. I also added HUD. Thread owes me 1500 EUR. bds.*
* I meant thank you for the tips.
Good man. And thanks for the compliment, it's the nicest thing I've been called all day!* I meant thank you for the tips.

On a more thankful note, thanks for the tip, it's appreciated. And apols for the language. Just because everyone else might call you that doesn't mean it's OK in our little sanctuary and safe space.

Could also be the rather splendid bottle of Tempranillo I’m working my way down.

If CdG doesn't post his spec, does that mean he's gone for flat paint..?

Sorry, I thought I'd said. Met paint in a snazzy sort-of red (Melbourne Rot over here) with mocha brown leather. Looks the business, to me at least.Spec levels are a bit different over here, and I've gone for luxury rather than sport. It is a few cylinders and bhp short of thread-pride, but it'll do for now.
In case anyone needs persuading that the market is batst mental, I present....

Gone from middle aged dodgy geezer in a car coat image to classic status despite being the least desirable XJ model ever made. Like this one.
