Over budget, but doesn't this look fantastic? Were these a similar price to the 190 2.6 back in the day?

Pretty sure they were a bit cheaper, but not 100%!

Well that's not wrong!!!

I sold a 3 door E30 325i Sport for £1250. Now look at them! The list of others now made of gold is not short!

My dad and I doing some work on it (fanboy indoctrination from an early age!)
That's an absolutely fantastic picture.

I bought a Series 1 Escort RS Turbo (don't laugh) in *about* 2006, sold it 6 months later for £3500 (50% profit).
Now, however...

That is glorious and the sort of thing that would make me forget all about the terrible Jag main dealer I had the misfortune to use many years ago and consider another one (it was 'only' an x-type so presumably I wasn't rich enough at the time for them to bother with customer service)

Now just need to find someone with a green one who wants to swap it for my Up!

Work a look even with the half-wrap?

It’s very local. I’ve not checked the MOT history yet.

Got to be at least a third over priced.

If any of my old Mercedes had been so kind to me in 30,000 miles, I would probably still have it.

A few weeks ago, I bought (£6.5k) this 2008 150,000 mile XJR

I have only done a couple of 000 miles in it so early days, but reading the comprehensive history back to day 1, it has had a cooling system refresh, a couple of suspension parts, servicing, consumables such as brakes and tyres, and nothing else, yet everything works, apart from a few stone chips and parking blemishes, it's difficult to distinguish from a new car.
That's very proper. And something I could see myself in, given a year or two, for occasional use.

I was just having a quick look at E class prices and W/S211 prices have gone mental too.

In particular E500 saloons.

This one is in thread spec but it's £6995 for a 16 year old car. Surely they're not that desirable?

Has anyone had any dealings with this chap? I’ve noticed he sells a few big Lexus/Toyota. Also, any previous experience with LS460’s here? Most uk based stuff I can find online is about the 600h

I never warmed to the X350- evidently I was just not looking at the correct model!

I'm sure they are great cars, but they still look to me like a Jaguar that has been eating all the pies and lost its grace and elegance.

Suspect the person who chopped it in for £1500 will be kicking themselves when informed:

The 190 2.6 was more expensive, particularly once you started to put optional equipment on it as Mercedes extras were generally more expensive than anyone else's. Oddly I have a 1988 price list for Mercedes and BMW in a book case here - so a little too early, but I imagine the differential is similar. The BMW 325iSE to a similar spec is £18,614, whilst the 190 2.6 to match this spec comes in at £22,036.

That guy may as well be selling Angelia Jolie covered in honey for a fiver with free delivery but i simply can't read an ad in CAPS AND NO PUNCTUATION.
That’s similar to mine (bought in 2017 at 57k miles) but my drivers seat looks better than that at 81k miles. I was lucky to spend only £400. Has been racking up the costs ever since...but still bargain basement motoring. Latest cost was £58 for a replacement luggage cover, receiving an item that looks brand new. Result!

It’s still a comfy wafter that cossets in winter and has been totally reliable.

If I could afford something newer I’m not sure where I’d splash the cash to get something better?
