Is a 57 plate Audi A6 Le Mans Avant in keeping with this thread and if so would any of you gents be interested in purchasing one for a reasonably bargain price?
4.2 petrol, yes. Stinky small capacity Euro 5 diesel, that's more the usual reaction you'll get to Audi on PH. Edited by J.C... on Sunday 11th April 18:51

Turbo is about £300 from various aftermarket sources and around 3 hours to fit.
Bosch injector for a 642 coming up on autodoc for about £180. Fitting will either take an hour or two or all day depending on how corroded it is.
You will want to check the electrical bits within the Vee to make sure that the turbo hasn't spat too much oil into them (it probably will have).
You'll probably want to have the oil cooler seals done whilst the turbo is being done as well.
Soo... About £600-700 in parts plus at least a day of your friendly indie/mechanic's time.
I would be all over that if it wasn't going to be banned from London very shortly
Thank you so much everyone for all the responses. I live in Zone 5 and although not close to Central London, the ULEZ charge will render this pretty unusable. I looked at the MOT history and in the past 2 years all the serious defects mysteriously got fixed in 1 day.Bosch injector for a 642 coming up on autodoc for about £180. A question on MOT - If you fail an MOT, does the MOT reference number change when you get it retested? Or does it change if you go to a new centre?

Oh, and ignore Macron's grumpiness, he gets tetchy when nurse is late with the tablets.

Feel free to pick up where I totally failed.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Perhaps another factor was the rate of knots at which the next two volumes proceeded, due to the covid effect.

Ian316, what do you reckon?
Any other chaps interested in this? Any ideas for design?
It's a shame M539Restorations doesn't do his poster as a mug as I'd buy it just to support his excellent channel.
Some other suggestions involving the work bork shoehorned into common phases left me cold.
“Top hole” might work.

Yes of course, it was the caption I was interested in.
“Keep It OEM” seems a pretty stupid caption to me. If you are on a budget then non OEM parts make a lot of sense. Particularly when (for example) you can buy a stainless steel exhaust back box for less than original mild steel one.Another nice looking Audi:

Really like the look of these, hopefully if my commuting mileage stays low I’ll be looking for one of these late summer,
