Pretty sure they came with 2 main keys and a service key too. Cambelt is £££ and is time or 90k swapover, can't remember how long the gap is though, Google will probably say. Expensive job. Have a feeling its four figures as the pump is only an Is300 part, but there may be pattern ones, defo see if it's veen done or when due.
Also have a feeling they have floating calipers, so a thud on first drive is usual. If weird these days. Also worth checking their state, visually at least.
Noted. The dealer has claimed it has "full main dealer service history and record of a recent cambelt change", but he also said it was a part ex he knows little about, and it appears a fairly small time garage, so let's see what it is like and what paperwork he has. Also took the somewhat odd approach of wanting a £395 non-refundable deposit to take it off sale, or a £100 refundable deposit not to take it off sale ... not sure what the point of the refundable deposit is ...Also have a feeling they have floating calipers, so a thud on first drive is usual. If weird these days. Also worth checking their state, visually at least.

Have we had this CLS?

Dirty diesel, but that interior makes it worth considering, no?
Out of interest, recent good news (previously detailed in the thread) means that I’ll be schlepping from Lancs to just outside Brizzle to commute to a new job before we relocate later this year.
I had considered a 630i/SL350 as the ideal car for the job, but is there anything else I’m missing?
Priority is threadish budget, coupe/cab preferred - otherwise an estate of some sort, easy application of Bluetooth music, heated seats and known problems that are easy to fix, so no coolant pipes for instance on BMW v8’s.
Usual thread priorities of ruinously expensive when new, waftability, space for two people’s luggage for a road trip around La Belle France and a gentlemanly number of cylinders (<6).
Its petrol and I guess within haggle of budget, looks a decent spec and facelift.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202104081...

However they do have balance shaft issues, though someone of ample beardage will advise better.
Sucking from the green pump, coupled with the interior colour, definitely makes it more interesting.
Sadly, I'd be doing a disservice to beard wearers everywhere to even call my Mercedes Beard stubble, can anyone suitably hirsute confirm?
And I really don't like that interior colour. I think the CLS actually pulls off the black leather and wood colour scheme quite well.
But agree with others too many questions.
