The green digital clock is essential. I'm going to miss it when mine goes. Far better than the rear sun blind or armrest of desire.
Actually the MkIV came with a regular LCD clock.

Guys: Oh really, what are the nurses like?
As others have said, we're surprised that you're surprised.

Threadist in hospital equals two things (three if one is feeling especially charitable).
In order: can I have your car if you die? Are there any fit nurses? Hope you're feeling OK and good luck.

Come on old fruit, you've been around long enough to know how it works.
Not surprised - exactly what I expected. I'd be disappointed otherwise. hehe

I don't think anyone here wants any of my current fleet. Nurses? Have you ever watched a Carry On film? Just like that - honestly, just stunning.

Think my time with the crown is coming to an end! It was fun but I'm not leaving the barge club yet.. need to find a V8 majesta to replace this or start the import process. Need some V8 in my life! 1jz has been fun and she's been solid.

What price are you looking for that? Being a rare car, do you expect it to be a hard or an easy sell? Looks nice, good luck with the sale!

What sort of car are you after? Other than being a V8!

They're all around 7-9k by the looks of it, the handful that are for sale here. I spoke with some importer's and because of the engine they have been going up at a steady rate in Japan so the prices in UK are slowly reflecting that as more come from Japan.

I expect it to take some time to sell but being quite a rare spec (series 2, black on black cloth etc) should help it. Many are in less desirable spec of silver with cream cloth etc.

I'm going to be looking for something Toyota or lexus.. I'd love to find a clean ls430 in black with black leather but it seems to be extremely rare here in UK! Or just wait and import one from Japan, plenty to choose from and they're all around 7-8k depending on condition/spec.

A V8 Crown majesta would be the ideal car, typical spec with air ride, fridge, leather etc.

That seems to be very Japanese thing this black with chrome wheel style. I don't personally like it so they'd go but you wouldn't pass on otherwise good car just because it has rubbish aftermarket wheels.

A) remind us of your current fleet.
B) pictures (not of the fleet).

You might be also surprised to discover how chuckable these things are, as well (around bends, not in the bin).
Had a very spirited drive down to Kirkinner this afternoon on the A714 from Girvan, across to Dumfries and back up the A74/M74.

Crunched up the gravel at home this evening with barely a hair out of place biglaugh

ETA - grumpy stuck in hospital post warning:

Many car dealers or traders seem to think they are some sort of gifted sales gods providing an essential service to people, rather than a necessary evil we have to deal with. They accuse customers who don't want to put up with their BS as being time wasters, but in my experience many of them are much bigger time wasters - so many cars described as FSH, mint, immaculate, stunning etc etc that are not and never have been. There are some good ones out there, but it's a lottery.

The High Peak car dealer guy who posts on Youtube did a video a couple of weeks ago complaining about some of his customers. He said that he doesn't think customers shouldn't have any comeback when buying cheap cars off him - if that is the case why should he be able to make a profit selling them? - can't have your cake etc Listening to him moan has put me off watching his videos - in the end his experience is no different from anyone selling anything - you have to deal with idiots in all walks of life, but not many people are going to have sympathy with someone selling used cars for a living. If you don't want hassle selling cheap st cars don't sell cheap st cars - even being as honest a seller is going to get people turning up expecting a brand new cheap car.

i prefer to buy off private sellers but they can be just as dishonest - some make Donald Trump look like a saint.

EETA - thanks for the kinds words sorry to be a grumpy git.

That fellas an absolute weapon. Is that the video where he says something along the lines of “I’m sick of poor people who can’t afford a decent car - if you can’t afford a decent car you should just work a bit harder til you can” then presumably go and buy one from a decent dealer rather than the fella who wouldn’t be a failed actor/failed pilot/low level Youtuber flogging bottom of the market “luxury” marques if he’d just worked a bit harder?

Apart from bolidemichael's tattooed G-wagon bird, this is the closest we've got to normal Friday postings. Did I miss a Mod warning or something?
We also had ge0rgy's E34 bird. It's almost the first thing I saw post-slumber and had me muttering '? ??????? ???!', which basically means 'goodness me' in the mother tongue. Prinny will understand.

I believe that we've either depleted our photo stocks, come to our senses, or been chastened by the single woke twenty something year old on here; he whose friends represent some sort of relationship busting consequence for the majority of us. I assume.

That is for certain with the exception of CdG, whose empty self critique reminds me of the question posed to George Best when with a Miss World. "George, where did it all go wrong?".
Didn’t he say immortally :-
I spent my money on booze, women and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

To be absolutely clear I am asking this without a hint of criticism or scorn or sarcasm.

Why do you want an imported car, not uk market, which must present problems with spares, insurance, workshop knowledge etc? What do you get that you don't get with a UK market car of any marque? Having said that those 2 look as cool as a cool thing with a special reason to be cool.
I can sort of understand withoseluxury van/people carrier things but not so much with a conventional 3 box saloon.

The future.

I wonder though, as full e cars are still silly money, which will change but by 2030 used ones which are cheap will have signs of degradation I'm sure, will we actually be choosing the platform that works for us best personally, and when petrol is not lawful in over 5l tins (for agricultural use), just converting them?

Eg:

Bonus points for it looking quite cool under there...

I mean a new Tesla I'm sure is a nice thing, but if you can retain the class aspect...
