What a day you've had Arrrrr.

My detailer is a nice chap and when I went to see him recently in order to collect my newly re-trimmed, leather-fed, protected and wood (lacquer) -polished steering wheel, we were chatting about the red RS6 in his garage which he casually mentioned was his... he then proceeds to tell me that he keeps it at a friend's pad along with his yellow 575M with the Fiorano pack!
If your detailer has an RS6 and a 575, I'd suggest you're paying far too much for your detailing...
Not in the slightest, LTA. I most certainly do not begrudge success in those who earn it and he is a humble chap that was talking to me as a fellow enthusiast, having just protected my steering wheel... for free!

A PM/Email would be appreciated, thanks.

Has anyone had a ~2005 Lexus RX400h? I'm tempted to try and SUV barge for 1-5 and this seems a good place to start? I don't want to pay over £350 in tax and it must be petrol and have ISOFIX.
I have a 2007 RX 400h, so may be able to help? I think a couple of other posters here have had one too.

There's also a couple of Facebook groups that cater for the RX, the 400h probably being the most frequently discussed.
Brother has had a RX300 and now an RX450h, both I help buy and drive constantly. Both have been utterly reliable to over 140k RX300 and currently 125k 450h. Very relaxing drive with the 450 and I'd assume the same with a 400h. Not great on feedback and can be a touch crashy. However as a reliable luxurious hassle free car they are perfect.
Mrs Micawber runs a 2007 RX350 which has proven flawlessly reliable for us for over 3 years. It is driven with next to no mechanical sympathy and has needed no more than a basic oil service, brakes pads and tyres in the time that we have had it. The kids have tried their hardest to destroy the back of it, but it still cleans up well too. Comfortable over a journey and absolutely everything still works. It is the expensive tax one and fuel consumption around the houses is not great, but in every other respect I would recommend it.

My detailer
You do realise you just said that out loud?
A detailer, who is known to me, by virtue of recommendation and whom was commissioned to protect the paintwork of Magnus subsequent to last year's titivation; he has proven himself to be reliable, affordable and accountable and lo, I shall be frequenting his services in future, exclusively and referring to him as 'mon detailer' for brevity.

My detailer just charged me £150 for three days work :-) I have a feeling he’s not targeting a Ferrari this year.

Now, I like a bright interior but that's a bit too much beige! Lovely exterior colour, wheels are naff, if the door card tops and dashboard was black that would be really tasty!

Will it sell for that though!??!

Went and checked this out earlier as its only 10 miles away and couldn't resist, conclusion, it's pretty grubby inside & smells of oil, big holes in each side of the boot floor wells, 3 errors codes on dash for abs, air conditioning dead, a load of mayo in the oil, drives very well, front struts perfect, has a sunroof, 7 seat option and nice merc load cover but too far gone for me. Very friendly mot tester for the last one to have no advisories..

Friday? That ad is more fitting for April fools in my book.

£25,000? For a 320? That's done 89,000 miles? silly

I sure hope it comes with half a kilo of cocaine in the boot to go with the drug dealer wheels and make the asking price seem somewhat reasonable rotate

Having sold my gold 300TE a few months ago, it's time to let the Bornite 300TD go, too - now listed on Ebay, and bid up to it's reserve price in around 24 hours. It needs a bit of TLC in places, but posting a link here if on interest to the thread...

Lovely.

But come on rejn, at least use a main photo where the bonnet isn't unlatched! It's distracting!

So your cleaner has been promoted to your detailer because you were charged three figures for a posh wash? wink

Bath, Shirley?

Looks lovely but would be even lovelier with ginger.

Royal Crescent, Bath.
With the new clean air zone they are sure to ban diesels soon (thankfully only commercials getting charged at the moment, but suspect it's only a matter of time now that the infrastructure is in place).

Yep, diesels are not going to be allowed in any urban areas before long. Any significant failure on my 211 diesel and it is off to the scrapper.
