I'd be the same, cant be turning up to a barge meet in a 1.6 diesel civic.
Most bikers would say Harleys are barges anyway so I'd sort of in rofl
Definitely the bike-barge equivalent.
Does that make my present transalp the equivalent of a 4x4 barge? smile

Haggling loafers; only ever to be worn with a minimum of this much ankle on show

It's actually better to wear short sleeves so people can ask you about your interesting tattoos:

If you lurk around Perverts Corner long enough...

P.s dear lord, what would that make me...?!

P.p.s Apologies for taking the lord’s name in vain. Very unthread

Hopefully this spot on the high street makes up for it

But with a picture of an SL, thus invoking the Janis Joplin clause & making Amen(ds)?

My SL55 had those wheels, look so much better than the standard turbine style alloys that were standard.

Yup so much better but pricey if they need replacing.

I wouldn't be surprised if those loafers cost more than half the barges we look at.

I'm pretty much the last person to be giving fashion or style advice, but they do look a lot like little old lady slippers.

I've been swapping my wardrobe between scruffy trousers and wellies when it's cold / wet or shorts and hiking boots when it's warmer for the last 14 months, I only seem to go out to walk the dog! (Or cycling gear, I suppose.)

Need to accessorize them with an appropriately coloured barge:

I like them.

I know for a fact that r129sl wears tasseled loafers for his car maintenance. If it's good enough for our learned friend...

Certainly the case around here (Holmfirth), lots of nice old mill buildings converted to houses. Also the textile industry is not totally gone either; I live a short walk from the Bower and Roebuck HQ in New Mill, although sadly the buildings there are modern ugly things (70s build maybe).

Also, reservoirs. Lots of reservoirs around here which are very impressive, solid looking victorian things.

Sadly, relatively few barges though, aside from a slightly ropey looking CLS and W211 just around the corner from me.

But speaking of slightly ropey looking; mid-thread X308 XJR:
https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/11647956
Nice xjr and lots of the roads and scenery round Holmfirth is fantastic, We should arrange a barge meet around the area at some point
Holmfirth would suit me. I live just over the hill on the Manchester side surrounded by mills from the industrial revolution when we were the Northern Powerhouse. I spent most of my formative driving years heading over the border on the roads into Yorkshire towards Holmfirth. I still occasionally like to go and stand on Scammonden bridge and watch the traffic on the M62, usually in the driving wind and rain.
