740 with just 70k miles. Vendor needs a bit of help with his ad writing skills but it does look nice

Ok, I,m going to admit it to all. These are starting to look like an attractive proposition for me. Especially if they sound like this:

Am I wrong to think of these as a more reliable, cheaper, (but slightly uglier, depending on colour/wheel choice) R230 SL500?
Genuine question: What are they like to drive? Are they soft and wafty or a bit too harsh? I find a lot of modern cars are set up to have the suspension on the sporty (hard) side but are actually far too heavy to be driven in a sporty manner.
Good man. My work here is done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7Y53MtnS_w

It’s astonishing if I hadn’t just spend a fortune refurbishing the pub I would have had this.
lol!Alloys look eaten, but at 3.8 you could get them + the stems done if [still] need be and be in thread with a then known quantity. 6's don't seem to have much of a Covid bounce, but there are few of them at the best of times...
Bank holiday for me too, (Dutch employer), so I have got as far as this in trying to work out SL1 indicator problem.
Just need to pull it to bits & check the relays. What could possibly go wrong!?
It doesn’t seem to want to pull apart without the use of some force, so caution will be applied. £150 seems to be the starting price for a replacement - today could be a bad day.

Bloody hell, so much car for very little money! That’s a bargain IMO
I reckon whoever has traded that in for 3995 has done very well. Im not sure that's a bargain to be honest. It's a very early car along with all the potential v8 'niggles', have seen the 45i go for much less even during covid. Its def the most unloved/wanted version of the e63. Only 60 or so bhp more than the 30i and a load more weight. That particular one will miss the daft tax bracket though. sdh2903 said:

I'd be doubtful he got £4k for it on trade in. More like £2.5k.

I’ve been blaming the hard ride over bumps on the cls not having air suspension, turns out I’m an idiot.
Crikey, that was rear spring no. 5 or 6 - that’s the third set it’s had on the rear since new. They’re Sachs that I fitted in 2018 - I can’t recall the mileage, but the MOT history will show it’s not that many miles ago. The fronts are similarly nos. 5 and 6 - the first set went while it was under warranty and it managed to collapse every now and again when one went, sometimes while it was parked. ETA - every time a rear spring has broken, it’s been low down in the spring cup, with the broken section not even making a full circle, making it hard to spot and producing hardly any change in ride height. It’s making Airmatic seem cost effective!

Here’s a 630i cab you won’t buy bc trade sale, Work needed, but there is a short known list. Posted because of the redness. Never seen one in Postman Pat before, “striking” appears apt.
