Can't help thinking the Evora Sport 410 is a more fitting alternative at £60k.

Loads of beautifully made carbon, lighter, carbon seats...

thats a very nice example, fine price as well.

Cross shopping a gt3 on half the money ?
Want low depreciation, have another car for daily duties,

Something for the weekend sir ?

I think something like this would be your best bet

Or like this

oooh, we in NL could only dream of such prices, I guess in NL there will be a 40K on top of that for same examples in LHD
otherwise many more people would buy Lotus cars and other sportie cars, if we did not have that high BPM (Co2 per gram ) tax on top of the 21% BTW, but its what it is sadly for the newer cars.

Slight tangent - are the rear seats in the Evora 2+2s actually usable?

911's - certainly the coupes, I understand the cabs/targas are more compromised - seem genuinely usable when you have young kids (mine are 4 and 5).

From the pics I've seen, Evoras are more like Aston "2+2's" where the back of the front seats pretty much touch the squab of the rear seat. The back seats then just become a nicely upholstered extra luggage space.

Any ownership experiences gratefully received.

I agree the angle you take a pic of the Evora makes all the difference. I love this one of ours in this shot. I also think the Black Pack (Roof, Mirrors, Wheels) makes them look a lot sharper too. This one is a custom order Mercedes Sliver that the first owner picked.

The venom interior is better when you're sat inside the car than when you look through the window biggrin

Its a lot of fun to drive but I would say that a 911 is a nicer place to be. The quality of the interior in the 991 onwards is a league apart from the Lotus. What the Evora does do however is turn a lot more heads. Regardless of the photographing challenges, they look special when you see them on the road in amongst Focuses, 3-series and SUVs.

Surely a Tesla model 3 electric vehicle is the way to go? As we keep being told on the forums, EV’s are the future & are now the performance kings in literally every way. I mean you get the excitement of an iPad in the middle of your cabin & software updates too! Move on people - the forum pundits are right, ICE = old normal and bad, EV = new normal & good.
I'm trying really hard but just can't figure out what the fk that has got to do with the article.
Me neither - I assume it's because we don't have the enormous chip on our shoulder required to interpret this drivel.

There are of course highly-priced exotic alternatives to a GT3 911. Very few at or below its price point though.

GT3 looks great, is beautifully put together, is reliable enough and comfortable enough for every use, and has a life-affirming n/a engine.

The engine bit is crucial. The GT3's engine is an event. Any alternative must have a non-turbo, razor-sharp engine that you day dream about, or it's not an alternative.

Going cheaper, you're really looking at an old Integra Type R, or an S2000. Or a Lexus LFA. Or a sportsbike.
Exactly what I was thinking as per the cheaper end of the scale when I took this picture of my Integra with the GT3RS in the background smile

OK for enthusiastic pre-teens as long as the adults in the front are <6ft. The kids have to spread their legs either side of the seat backs. I have had two 2+2 Evoras over the past 8 years. Our boys are now 13 & 15 and it’s effectively game over now. No head room either. So much so that my wife had to get in the back last time instead. She ain’t doing that again!

The 911 has a bit more space in the back, as does the i8 and even my Mondial cabriolet.

Very helpful - thank you sir.
