To REALLY ps off the Aussie continget a Ford V8 into a Holden or vice versa
How about a Barra in a Holden Commodore, does that boil the piss sufficiently?https://youtu.be/nrBzYPwAQdg?t=160

People are always putting Yank V8s into wankel engined Mazdas. I'd like to do the reverse, just out of spite.
An American on the internet has done it already, as always https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hxRc-B07QQ

Just to be blasphemous, I still don't get rotary engines, they sound fking terrible
I like them, except when they are aggressively ported and as a result at idle sound like a cement mixer full of spanners (or like a cammed Yank V8 for that matter )psi310398 said:
Wasn’t there a chap in deepest darkest Wiltshire who’d successfully drop K series blocks into Midgets? Or am I imagining it?
You're not imagining it. It's been done several times, in fact it's a fairly popular conversion. See also Ford Zetec in a Midget, usually with Ford Type 9 five speed box.
There's one such, very nicely done, for sale in Aberdeenshire right now which uses four Yamaha R6 carbs.
On YouTube there is at least one Diahatsu (Piaggio) Hijet van with a Hayabusa engine. Brilliantly, barking mad.

Others I'd add would be the Rocketeer MX-5, with the Jaguar motor. Would probably not be blasphemous if they used the Mazda 2.5 V6 instead.
Back in the mid 90s one of the Mazda developement engineers used to contribute on Usenet, I think it was. He said that the V6 would not work reliabilty (OEM reliability standards, not man in a shed aftermarket standards) in the MX5 because it was designed to be fitted transversely and leaned back 10 degrees or so; once it was upright oil flow wasn't right and they'd see excessive wear to certain parts of the engine. An interesting insight into what OEMs take into account and the sort of durability they expect vs hobbyists and tuners.
Probably not full on sacrilige but a swap I’ve never understood is Yanks putting the J32 V6 lump (Out of a Honda Legend I think) into old EG & EK Civics. Just why?
A K20 is an easier swap, lighter, easier to eek more power from, actually fits in the bay, doesn’t need the bonnet modding, doesn’t hang 9ft out the bottom etc etc.
I had an old EK with a H22 Accord Type R lump in it and even that felt quite heavy, although it was still a great car.

Probably not blasphemous enough, but have we had the gent on YouTube who dropped a supercharged 4 litre XJR (X306) engine into an E-type?
There is an E-Type with a 1 or 2JZ Supra lump kicking about, built as a drift car I think. I do seem to remember the car was an absolute basket case though so it’s sort of fair game, at least he’s kept the car alive. Edit - Here it is - https://youtu.be/9yQSPLhUVVk
