They need a £150k 600bhp SVR
Surely it’s coming at some point.

Or they leave that to Khan or Twisted?

I really like the way they've not bodykitted this car, maybe that means they won't go the next stage and instead sell them to a third party to do?

Discovery 5 must feel pretty hard done by. Despite the planned SVX, this is the only big JLR vehicle that doesn't get this engine. Even the Velar has it
I really would have loved the Discovery SVX. That was a great looking thing, and I'd definitely rather one over the SVR Sport. Very much a fan of the new Defender though.

This shows to me that there will be an SVR model, standard looking and ‘only’ 525bhp Is the same as the v8 range sport, then the svr has the body kit and 575bhp.

Yes, it would appear to be an obvious drip feed to cash-in via those that change cars every year. I bet there'll be more than a few P400 owners trading them in for the V8, then to an SVR model later on.

They set up SVR to counter the likes of Khan and Twisted so I doubt that somehow.

Seriously considering one of these (standing by for the call to "stone him!").... anyone know how likely a discount would be on one or any JLR / offer schemes to take advantage of or is it likely to be retail price / local dealer negotiation only?!

Not heard about that but doesn't surprise me. JLR's lawyers have been flexing their muscles lately.

Have they issued a “cease and stop making our cars look like tacky chav st “ order?

About time too.

There's clearly a demand for it so it's better than they're made here than overseas. wink

I just heard via some recent dealings involving Kahn that there had been a change.

Always annoyed me that these aftermarket types liked to replace the maker’s name and plaster their own on the vehicle as if to take credit for the entire machine.

Wouldn't you wish to use a different name when going shopping if someone had fused an enormous phallus to your head? wink

Unfortunately new Defenders covered in chav tat are still appearing, if AutoTrader is anything to go by. It really is a sad state of affairs when this stuff is more popular than off-road bits for them.
