Yes. Saloon is a very definite definition.

Best will always be subjective. Pre war, a chasis from Rolle Royce, Bentley, Hispano Suiza, Mercedes or one of the heavyweight ameicans with a decent coachbuiler would be fine.

Post war, the list is shorter. And best is still subjective. Can I say greatest??

Not as quick as the XJ12, not as comfy as a silver shadow. But it is still a hot topic today. And it saved Aston Martin. That makes it a great in my book..

Interesting one, but did it save AM?
I would have thought the DB7 did more in that regard.

Not wanting to derail an interesting thread, but the lagonda saved them in the 70s, the DB7 saved them in the 90z. The v8 vantage in the noughties, the...

Its amazing how similar the lines and continuity is with the current model, do the same with any current manufacturer and most you’ll see no connection.

Love the rear haunches on the conti, pick mine up in July smile

For me if you can afford to run one then it has to be the Bentley continental flying spur, massive luxury, presence and power, used prices are ridiculously cheap for what it is but those eye watering running costs, parts and servicing, ouch.
