Tesla need to spend less time chasing performance numbers and spend more effort on building a decent interior. Along with ensuring a quality fit and finish on the end product.
I'm sure tesla will listen to your professional advice.. even though you don't even own one Tesla need to spend less time chasing performance numbers and spend more effort on building a decent interior. Along with ensuring a quality fit and finish on the end product.

There’s nothing ‘cool’ about owning a Tesla. Especially a model 3.
That is so true. I disagree as someone who does own one, but then it's utterly subjective so pointless as a discussion topic.
Back on to the actual topic, my issue with the RS E-Tron GT is how much more expensive it is than the base model. At £79k I could see myself swapping the Tesla for one even though it is slightly slower and less efficient as can see the better engineering and looks being worth the additional £20k. At £112k for the RS model I struggle to see the value for a vehicle that's a bit quicker and better equipped than that. Same goes for the Taycan, the 4S with performance battery is definitely the sweet spot in the range.

Why do performance Audi’s have to look so damn aggressive? This belongs in Mad Max. A Few years back the perception was that Audis were bought by nice decent people, professionals. BMWs were the pushy persons choice. How times have changed.
Total BS. Maybe in the 1980's and early 90's Audi's were bought by decent people. But the late 90's and into the 2000's they were bought by a lot of idiots just as well, not surprised on top gear when they said that they were driven by cocks. Why do performance Audi’s have to look so damn aggressive? You keep on posting that fluff Tesla put out on their performance stats. Did you forget all of their info is manipulated in their favour. In the real world their published 0-60 times are rarely reproduced, where as the Audi and Porsche times are always bettered.Motortrend recorded 3.0s out of M3P, against manufacturers 3.1s...
Reference the independent results on the Wikipedia list, only the Tesla Model X didn't have an independent time faster than Tesla's stated time.

I like greens and browns but this is exactly cow pat, living on a farm I see enough of this tone
I agree it's bloody awful though. I'd go for boring black as helps to hide the contrasting trim pieces around the grill, side skirts, rear bumper that just don't work for me personally on the lighter colours. Only problem then being the total lack of choice for interior colour.

Wow, my mates just got a new Model 3 in December. I think its very "cool". Certainly leagues more interesting than any of its competitors. Shows you what I know.
The idea that the 90% middle aged, or older, men of PH have any idea what is 'cool' is laughable. The young consider Tesla cool so they are, whether that makes them good cars is an entirely separate conversation.Audi RS e-tron is a handsome thing and Audi's always have lovely interiors, yes it's heavy but someone made the excellent point earlier that once you’re this far aware from being 'light', a couple of extra hundred Kgs don't really matter anymore. I do think the pricing is awfully strong when compared to the Taycan, surely the Porsche badge is still significantly more desirable?

Took delivery of a Model 3 LR in December (as a company car, so I'm not trying to justify my purchase) and I think it's the best all round car I've ever had use of. Already planning on getting the new S as the next one.Edited by juniorbox on Thursday 4th March 10:35

You do get quite a bit of additional kit as standard (especially on the £79k base E-Tron GT which comes with the larger battery as standard) compared to the Taycan. Having spent some time on the Porsche configurator the list of options and their prices is staggering.
Jeez, you weren't kidding. I've just had a play on the configurator and specced a car how I'd have it if money wasn't a concern - over £40K in options! Lots of stuff that should just be standard as well e.g. electric folding mirrors.Dark85 said:
