That's not Dakar Yellow smile

This is Dakar Yellow..

ETA: Maybe its just in a funny light tbh, but it looks too dark and rich to me

Probably a bit of over-zealous Photoshop adjustment.

The Renault Flame Red was an amazing colour when it was launched (I also like their Liquid Yellow) but really needs the sun to make it pop. Whenever I go on holiday, I see cars that i think "Wow", like the orange Focus STs but in the rain, on a dull afternoon, in the UK, they don't shine so much.

Two colours that people have specced on an Exige V6 - both look fantastic.

Santorini and Estoril blue are a couple of BMW shades I've always liked.
Had a Santorini Alpina - cost us about £2.5k for the paint...

It is amazing the colour difference the liquid yellow has. Sometimes looks totally different in certain lighting

BMW's new Dravit Grey colour is quite unique in my opinion.

I was given a Vauxhall Meriva rental car about six years ago in that colour. It did some weird things in different lighting.

Admittedly there’s a personal bias involved here but I love BMW carbon black.

Yeah, looks great on that image though I'm not always such a huge fan in person. I'm not sure it suits the Clio V6 but I know people place a high value on that colour on that car.

There’s more to a great colour than just the colour, it is important to consider the car it adorns.

Arena Red on a 993 Turbo is iconic, but you wouldn’t look twice if it was painted on an Almera.

Almond Green on an Aston is a favourite of mine too.

And finally, Verde Zeltweg on any Ferrari.

You can’t see all the blue hues present in carbon black?

Dark British Racing Green (actually a Jaguar colour, but here on my Healey)

That Healey is stunning. A guy I knew had one just like that with a cut down screen but was a dark blue IIRC.

Electric white on the mk2.5 focus, kuga and mondeo, a awesome pearlescent white which looked different in the sun.

I think Ford axed it in the end as it was impossible to colour match for repairs

Brown on this Volvo just because it’s really nice, teamed with the wool interior of cream leather and no tinted windows then you get a classy car that really does beat the chavtastic black on black offerings from everyone else

Ridiculous is the wrong word. Very much the wrong word. 'A' word does not sum that up.

It's absolutely barking-mad amazing.

I'm not so keen on black cars anymore, but I love Land Rover's Santorini Black. Polished up it looked stunning, a really deep colour with lots of green, blue, purple and red metallic flakes.

Ford's Micastone is also an interesting colour. Doesn't look like much if it isn't clean, but depending on the light it can look silver, purple, lilac or light blue.
