Not grey, black, white or silver.

I really liked the "green as fk" my Mazda2 came in. Hellrot is another good shout.

I have a Merlin Purple R8. When the sun hits it, it is extremely vibrant.

Yellow, but especially Triumph Mimosa Yellow
I forgot to mention Yellow in previous posts. Absolutely fantastic. The new Audi A1 in yellow looks stunning.

Just skim read the thread so might have missed the odd comment, but surprised to see nobody mentioning Porsche Miami Blue

Also a big fan of Ford Imperial Blue

And Ford Nitrous Blue

Ironically I've only ever owned one Blue car in 15 years, given I clearly have a persuasion towards Blue colours.

My two favouries from cars I've owned are Ford Stealth Grey which I had on a Focus ST - the only car I specced from new and this was the only colour I was ever going to pick

and my current car - not specced from new but I was dead set on finding a Flame Red one. This is not me, or my car, but it shows the colour well

I always thing the Stealth Grey looks like they missed the top coat and left it with just primer.

I did my Ultima in BMW Montreal Blue 20 years ago.
It’ll need a repaint soon and I still can’t find a colour that looks better on it

There is some great paint on here. I've always been partial to Ford Signal Orange.

That’s a great looking car in that shade of Orange. It was quite a rare shade and much better in my opinion than the lighter Orange that Ford offered and seemed to be more popular.

I’ve only ever owned 1 Orange Car and that was a 1979 Mirafiori Sport cool

I had been seeing a few Range Rovers recently in their 'Byron Blue' colour, which caught me off guard as they are generally not a car im very bothered about but I have to say, in the low evening sun, they looked absolutely stunning.

So, wanted to make a thread about your favourite automotive car colours? Can be anything from history, mundane to the exotic, but lets say it has to be a paint colour and not make this a livery thread, no liveries allowed!

We change our Land Rovers fairly regularly and me and my wife take turns choosing colours. This time it was my turn, and it had to be Byron Blue.

A fantastic colour, and my favourite over every colour I've had. A close runner up has to be a Chromaflare flip paint call Monogram Typhoon that I had on a 2004 MG ZT-T V6. A blue/green/purple colour depending on the light and angle.

Has anyone ever wondered where they get the names for these colours/ Some (like aubergine and petrol blue) for example are sort of self explanatory, but some of the others???
I think Land Rover have geographic themed colours.

Santorini Black. I guess volcano based Greek island.
Corrie Grey. I think it's something to do with Welsh slate.
Kaikoura Stone. New Zealand.
Byron Blue. An Australian Bay.
Aintree Green. Or should that be orange?
