I saw one in the flesh a few days ago... You're a brave man. I like it a lot, but I don't know if I would go for it, moreover OH hates yellow... which is why I don't have this:

Funny you should say that, my current car is a Renaultsport and I could have bought a Liquid Yellow but went for Flame Red! I do like Yellow cars but only certain shades. My OH is quite conservative when it comes to cars and bright colours but she likes the Zesty Yellow!

I do keep thinking should I switch it to a more muted colour, but it's a Mini - it should be fun and eye catching. Not sure I'd be brave enough to order an M3/M4 in Sao Paolo though!

Peugeot Diablo Red is my favourite car colour ever.
Had a much loved 405 estate in that hue.
"Old man burgundy " is my wife's description of it hehe

Agree about the Mini, we finally bought it red and white, it was the best compromise.

However when we were at the dealership I couldn't avoid telling them that in such a depressing place, the only catching car was ours... dealership was a sea of grey floor, grey walls and grey cars... of the 5 cars there, the other 4 were all in Moonwalk grey (which is the only non-optional colour) frown

I've admired Sorrento Green from the 205 GTI. Very subtle, looks mostly black.

This was parked at the office yesterday. Most amazing shade of brown.
Jesus, a bit of warning before you post pictures like that. I was on a Teams call with the camera on and suddenly became aroused.

Lovely car, great colour.
Hmmm - I think you may need to seek help on that smile

Trouble with colours is that so many great colours are so car dependant. I love Lambo Arancio Atlas, but put it on an S class Merc for example and it'd look horrendous.
Renault liquid yellow - awesome colour, put it on a Maserati GT and it'd look so wrong.

However, I'm a sucker for pretty much anything in my all time favourite colour of Porsche Riviera Blue - I nearly bought an RS6 in that but it was sold before I was in a position to buy smile

We're obviously on the same page as red with white roof & stripes would definitely be my second choice. Only thing putting me off was I wanted a sunroof which doesn't go with a white roof so well, the black disguises it nicely.

Mini are strange with their colour pricing. The OH has a Cooper Exclusive and Enigmatic Black was a non-cost option (everything else was £525, even solid colours). Then as you say on certain models Moonwalk Grey is the non-cost option and everything else is £525, but Enigmatic Black is £725! I guess it's engineered to encourage people to order the most desirable colours on each spec to help with resale values?

TBH I'd shorten that by saying "not sure I'd be brave enough to order an M3/M4" (Sao Paolo is a lovely looking colour though!)

That is very nice, and wouldn't look out of place today. I do think certain colours are cyclical though, dark green is trendy at the moment.

Indeed.
Over 20 years ago, I owned a Saab 9000 Aero in a similar dark metallic green - Scarabe Green it was called, or commonly referred to a Scabby Green smile

There are very, very few manufacturers that offer any shade of green these days, although I have seen the odd few around, so maybe it is a colour that is making a comeback.
Any colour would be welcome these days to blot out the depressing sea of blacks, silver/grey & white that you are forced into having by the souless suicidal geeks that inhabit the manufacturers paint palette departments.

I'm yet to see a Renaultsport that doesn't look good in yellow!

I think for me alot of my preferences stem from the colour I first see a car in especially if its a bold colour, usually from a film etc. The muscle car options from the 60's are my jam, especially the MOPAR high-impact ones;

'Top Banana' 1970 Dodge Coronet Superbee - this shows up in bad boys 2 during one of the chase scenes

'Go Mango' 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T - fast and furious 2, though I could have sworn I saw one at the Tate London? years ago as part of an exhibition

Even the names were good, like the Ford 'Grabber' blue, green and orange, though General Motors let the side down (medium red, how original)

'Competition Blue' 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator - remember one this colour from a cartoon show as a kid, no idea what but looks mean as anything

Over here I think of the 'Hero' colours like the Ford Focus orange, Honda Type-R white etc that makes the car a little bit more special.

As for my own, here's my i30n fastback in Performance Blue - just love how it stands out and could never have got it in the flat grey, black etc.

I’m a big fan of Aintree Green on Range Rovers, but unfortunately they dropped it a few years ago. The example above with nice and not too big wheels, body coloured gills and light tint glass is just perfect.
