Yeah, hadn't heard of it until now, am sure with 100 grand you could build something pretty special using whatever engine, motorsport parts and do something bespoke, never really been all that into the Brabus thing and red with black wheels, just looks a bit 90s rude boy.
YOU could but like any modified car the bits you add on are worthless and actually decreases market value.

I’d put my house on it whatever you built would not be as valuable as this.

What’s the guess on BHP per tonne 250-280? Ie rapid.
Looks pretty much similar to the old Q2S with the boot lid spoiler mounted transmission cooler

I think the performance may be slightly disappointing fir the claimed bhp now
They tested a similar 3.6 years back and it wasn’t much faster than a 330i

Unless this is substantially ‘lighter’ of course but I can’t see it somehow

Lovely, although this one has been for sale for a long time I think. There’s a PH-we who owns one of these, been a favourite car of mine on here

There was an AMG 3.2 offered for sale a few years ago at what seemed like very reasonable money (c. £20k IIRC), and got snapped up fast
It has been for sale with Fast Classic for ages, but not as long as the (gorgeous, in my eyes) E3 3.3 LiA which they have up at £89,995...

Rather have a lightweight 109E. You know, 1500 pre-crossflow, 2000;)E box, Classic front struts with disc brakes and a set of Lotus Cortina five and a half J steels with Avon crossplies.

There, that done with that. Move on...... wink

At a car show a few years ago a chap brought along what I think is the only right hand drive model Brabus made.

yikes Really? who/what/where? Is there a readers car thread?

I think this is brilliant, agreed Red makes it looks more 80's than it should.
Here’s some more pics of MBZ’s one (as posted by AndyTR above too): https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

What like say a Singer or any other well done resto mod ?

How is it that Brabus stull like that CLS Rocket just sits around unsold at 70k, really dont think they have a massive amount of kudos compared to AMG stuff, some of it sort of but a lot of it was just tat on standard Mercs or badges on a Smart. They did some cool engine conversions in the past and this is pretty impressive technically but not sure it a 100 grand car.

Getting into 190 Evo territory at that money.

Maybe I'm wrong, however isn't having the rear mounting of a harness below the shoulder line a big no-no because of spinal compression?

What a machine. Properly engineered and built. Worth the money in my opinion - such a special car.

There is a 1/18 Otto model of this. Closest I will ever get to the real thing!

Surprised at some of the comments. This thing is achingly cool, in my opinion.

Yes it's an interesting car but at 100k just another example of things gone crazy. IMHO

You're not wrong. They only look to be 4 point harnesses also which aren't great either due to submarining issues.

I was more surprised at SixT's involvement, especially back then, thinking that they were relatively new on the scene (thanks to their advertising I guess). A quick google show the company was originally started back in 1912!!!

Very cool but after following the PH Fleet updates on the Merc the prospect of spending £100k on a tuned version is not as appealing...

This is interesting, and even has a pic of some of the SIXT fleet... https://mercedesheritage.com/mercedes-heritage/bra...

I can't resist posting the SIXT picture separately though...

This same car was up for sale at the same dealer 3 years ago. For £132,000.

Not quite the appreciating asset!

Whilst I've grown to love old Mercs of this era, to me this looks amazing but £100k seems massively OTT. Opposite ends of the spectrum but this or one of those new Audi e-tron things?
