Electrically folding mirrors an option, miserable.
I've never had them... can't say I've ever missed them or would ever spec them. I shudder to think what they cost to replace when some tit clips one with his wing mirror. The point is that a 30k Ford / Vauxhall / Peugeot will have them as standard equipment, along with a stload of the other stuff Porsche are charging extra for.
I've never configured a Porsche before but quite like the look of this so thought I'd have a play. I was astonished that these things are an extra on a car that costs so much to begin with.

It's crazy how much better looking 90% of cars are in estate form rather than saloon!
And yet, no-one buys estates, especially in comparison to SUVs. So... talk is cheap. But I also personally feel that the estate version nearly always looks better than the hatch/saloon. The Allegro factor.
I don't get why anyone would buy a saloon shape over its estate version given that it's generally more practical as well as better looking. Plus, from a snobbery perspective the saloon shape is always going to be synonymous with the travelling salesman etc.
I think Porsche estates are now looking really good. I think the interiors are also much more pleasant than other fast estates.
While the Cayenne is one of the most staggeringly competent cross country people carriers, this car is so much better looking that it overcomes any loss of practicality.
It's impressive for a product that has its visual roots in something genuinely so fugly.

Just had the same conversation on another thread...So buy a Peugeot then. Seriously though just think of a Porsche as costing 20k more than it does but you can get yourself a massive discount by unspeccing all the junk you don't want. A LSD (PTV+) only costs a grand or you could spec a HUD or passenger display or some other nonsense... take yer pick. The point is that a 30k Ford / Vauxhall / Peugeot will have them as standard equipment, along with a stload of the other stuff Porsche are charging extra for.

Pavement level, rear 3/4 shot being pushed out as,like the 996RS, the only one that makes it look reasonable.
Then you get to the front and realise the backside you’ve been looking at belongs to Caitlyn Jenner, with a similar amount of plastic tat added.
Looks better than the Taycan though, but then so does an Allegro.

Each to their own of course but personally prefer it from every angle in comparison to the Panamera/Cayenne etc. Then you get to the front and realise the backside you’ve been looking at belongs to Caitlyn Jenner, with a similar amount of plastic tat added.

Also, never look at a Ferrari or McLaren options list - some of the paint options or carbon fiber packs cost more than the aforementioned Ford/Vauxhall. Porsche is actually quite reasonable in terms of options pricing (and as said don’t tick the boxes, I wouldn’t - most of them don’t make the car any better and just make it more expensive - you usually get a great car out of the box)
Quite. Can't say I've ever driven a gt3 and wished it had a hud , folding mirrors, contrast stitching, carbon door sills etc... each to their own but complaining about something you don't have to buy is nuts.fblm said:
