Why PH thought that testing this car at Millbrook was a good idea I’ll never understand. The only appropriate test for this car should be in and around Mayfair, seeing how loud the exhaust is and checking to see if it’ll fit in the parking bays of Park Lane hotels etc.

I mean you wouldn’t test a 911 gt3 by taking it through an off-road handling course!

Come on PH pull yourselves together

So a loud shouty car for folks in the “look at me” brigade. Have Lamborghini really come to the point where this is the most important element of their cars??
I’m struggling to think of a time when this wasn’t the key element of their cars?

Lamborghini are all about shock and awe. They can’t and never have been able to compete with Ferrari in the beauty stakes (not for the last 50 years at least). It’s certainly not my cup of tea, but it is unmistakably Lamborghini.

Another pointless plaything for those with nothing else to buy. Of all the things to buy at this price point I think you’d have to have a mental age of 7-8 to want one smile
Oh yeah! Very well observed, Sir!

I’m thinking the first generation Countach was probably the last driver-focused Lambo. Since then it’s become progressively more about ‘image’.

The back end looks fantastic but the front could do without the streaks up the sides of the headlights.

Miura?
Beautiful and designed to stop people in their tracks. That was it’s thing, “look at me”.
It didn’t happen to just look like that due to some amazing function over form within it’s design.

So I feel my point still stands.

Agreed. A Countach couldn’t have been more “look at me”.

I’m not knocking it, they make the world a more interesting place. But to think the brand was once all classy, subtle and driver focussed and is now suddenly all about show stopping attention grabbing looks, is to miss the point of Lamborghini entirely.
IMO.

Agreed, although I personally don't find the Miura to be good looking, but it's certainly a look at me car.

Too wide, too ugly and way too heavy. I used to love Lambos when I was a kid which admittedly was a very long time ago. Now I just find them repulsive.

It must be me, but I cant help but think, "just another Lambo, but with a body kit". And looking at it, almost every surface looks like it has fussy design. Am I the only one who thinks that?
