Everyone knows that a TVR is the sort of car that needs constant attention and fettling. Plus it is pretty much 99% guaranteed that it won't start at some stage. I love TVR's but they are a royal pain in the arse to live with...fantastic when they are working though. cloud9
I'm never hugely worried about theft as I have the key and its STILL 50/50 if it'll start! wink

Yes. I’m questioning the necessity of having a pop out of the blue like that.
Presumably because for him summer means getting on with the list of jobs that didn’t get done over the winter.

New tyres fitted, alignment and then MOT (a brake pipe split on the test so all new brake pipes fitted - lucky I wasn't on the road as pedal went to the floor eek) so ready for the season.
Been great out in the sun this week on little trips. Nice to be out again.

Both of my last Japanese cars have had new engines within the first year of warranty. The TVR seems a breeze...
Nissan Primera the dealer forgot to put oil in at the first service then took it for a test drive
Mazda 6 2.2D with the chocolate camshaft issue, that came back from the first service with what I thought was in limp home mode (they gave me it back knackered)...

I've been mostly working abroad since November, got the Cerbera out last week and it started first time after about 2 secs of turning over...

Daft innit!?

I realised that it can be done over the phone, so no Post Office queue was necessary after all.

Had mine out all through the winter to be honest, but it will be nice to be able to use it and not have to wash it every time for a change biggrin

You jammy git! hehe

Mine never started when I wanted it to! frown

I will always remember the time when I was moving house from the East Midlands down to Berkshire and the bloody thing wouldn't start. I was really looking forward to driving it down there...instead it got took on the back of a trailer to Str8Six!

I reckon that I definitely got a Friday afternoon car!

I'm really pleased that yours treats you well though. thumbup

Same here - I didn't read it as the poster having a pop at anyone. I think it applies to any old car which has sat around for a while and I'd assumed the poster had a vehicle which was a "work in progress"
