MOT booked tomorrow for first time since June 2019 (MOT extension took me neatly through a quiet summer last year).

Looking forward to getting it back out on the road!

Some lovely cars in this thread.

The westfield has just passed five years off the road due to a blown engine (old 1900cvh) and having had it able to start and drive for the last 6 months (2l blacktop) I've got a bit push on to get it MOTed before the end of the month and get it taxed again. Going to renew the insurance today.

a ) because restrictions are lifting and we can now do local runs out.

b) because there is a new car arriving, and it is taking preference on the garage.

Kitscars trailer (tatty diy build covered affair) has been dragged out, jet washed and generally cleaned out, hardstanding beside the garage clearer, and it is going to live padlocked into that for now until we come up with funds and planning for alternative solutions long term plans. Fortunately we have 8ft high fence and gates so the drive is as secure as the garage really.

Still hiding....

New car arrives tomorrow!

I haven't a hope of competing with anyone on this thread, but for the first time ever I have myself a car that could be fun for summery B-road blasts and the like. Picked it up last week and I'm smitten - smallest / most chuckable car I've ever owned and also my first coupe.

Hopefully there'll be some meets and gatherings to enjoy this summer too!

I've been working from home in the garden the last day or so....the sun just went in, immediately needed the jumper again. Argh, when will the proper warmth hit us.

Griff is booked in for its mot on Thursday, and ill probably tax it from start of may, hoping the good weather we currently have will stick around.

Then I'll sort my bike out, tax exempt as over 40 years old, but not mot exempt as its too modified.

Late enough to this thread, just had a quick scoot through it. So much to be jealous of, I won’t be greedy though I’ll take the white Mk1 Golf GTI and the black Ferrari 360. Cheers.

That LC is magnificent, would love to see a thread on that. I had one in those colours followed by several YPVS 350s, great bikes.

These have both made a reappearance in my life in the last 2 weeks..........

Another LC fan here. I just about squeezed in before the 2 part test and ran a 250F and then an LC on L plates. Once I passed my test I went back to an F but a 400 with big bore kit, Boysen reeds and Allspeeds. It was tuned by a friend called Stewart Pierce of Pierce Production Tuning prior to his being killed whilst pillion on another 350LC.

My Z4 inadvertently has become a summer car. Normally I'd just tax it all year round and use it at the sight of the sun and wrap up warm. But with COVID & working from home, I haven't done much, so I let the MOT lapse and bumbled about in the Clio. Which then broke, so bumbled about in the missuses MINI.

Finally got around to an MOT on the Z last month (needed new front brakes and rear tyres frown), have been doing house jobs every spare minute since, so didn't bother to tax it. Now the sun is here and we're allowed to venture out, I will be taxing it come Saturday and hope to take it out for some long runs.
