Who else is getting their Summer cars out?

My Z4 inadvertently has become a summer car. Normally I'd just tax it all year round and use it at the sight of the sun and wrap up warm. But with COVID & working from home, I haven't done much, so I let the MOT lapse and bumbled about in the Clio. Which then broke, so bumbled about in the missuses MINI.
Finally got around to an MOT on the Z last month (needed new front brakes and rear tyres ), have been doing house jobs every spare minute since, so didn't bother to tax it. Now the sun is here and we're allowed to venture out, I will be taxing it come Saturday and hope to take it out for some long runs.
Very nice. I took mine out on Sunday with a view to meeting friends for a coffee outdoors but by the time I got there they were leaving as it was so cold. They looked frozen. Still, it got a proper drive for the first time in ages. Finally got around to an MOT on the Z last month (needed new front brakes and rear tyres ), have been doing house jobs every spare minute since, so didn't bother to tax it. Car in the link looks great, but some price! Mine was a touch lower... actually, substantially lower Should not have opened this thread. I have a diesel BMW X3 - I won't post pictures because I don't want to show up some of the cars on here... I was supposed to be saving money this summer, but reading through all 19 pages has got me yearning for something completely impractical again.

Oh awesome!! I was very surprised to see a fellow yank tank there, was waving furiously at you haha. I tried to give it some beans up the hill, did it sound nice? That's about 5 mins from my Dad's place.....are you local? FIREBIRDC9 said:
Saw your Corvette again last week! Shell in Hook , passed you on my way home from work in my Volvo. Sadly not the Mustang this time!
Haha did you?? A very rare November outing for it......my Mum had bought my brother and I a 'track experience' thing at Thruxton about 18 months ago, finally got around to using it, then of course forgot how many miles it was to get home and started to panic, but that Shell saved the day with about 20 miles range left!!! Sadly my bro was only in his RS4, didn't want to get his Noble out now that the ULEZ zone means it costs him £12.50 any time he moves it!

Getting on for time to start putting summer cars away, but its just too nice to carry on using them!
Agreed, was very pleased to get out in the Corvette last week in some nice weather. I even ended up using it to drive myself to hockey (goalie bag even fit in the boot!) but that was mainly down to lack of other cars. Evo is back from the repair shop now so Corvette might be put to bed for a while now. Austin has a hood and side screens, warm leather seats, very usable with a blanket. Exhaust runs under the passengers feet lovely.
Even the Westfield (hood doesn't fit over the roll bar as i'm tall) is very usable in the cold with a good coat. Even if raining, if there is a hot shower waiting!
At which point the only thing I really avoid is salted roads.
