I haven’t used my 1984 Golf GTI since November as the weather has been so wet. I usually keep it taxed and give it a run every other week if it’s dry. I put it on SORN from December and I have just taxed it for 6 months so I can get it serviced, MOT'd and get a couple of issues sorted. It will be tax-free next year, thankfully!

Lovely mk2 smile

Are you in west central Scotland by chance? I have passed a B plate like yours in all conditions up here but haven't spotted it since approx November lol

I'm never in one of my mk2s when i see it though, to toot and wave at the driver biggrin

Edit; you aren't up here... biggrin

I'm in Sheffield so it's definitely not me! I don't see many early MK2s on the road these days.

Change of scenery for me, hot hatch is my summer car this year. At least it's got the pano roof! I'm really enjoying it but suspect it'll be even more fun when the roads improve with the weather.

I am so tempted by one of these since i sold my weekend fun car.

Yours looks spot on..

Nice colour! I'm waiting until April, the weather is all over the place and the roads are stty still. Not giving any more of my money to the thieving gits than absolutely necessary.
Thanks (and Jordan!)

That’s why I taxed it yesterday. The rates are going up from April so I thought put 6 months on at the cheaper rate.

I also noticed I have done less than 2000 miles last year. Need to start using it.

Mine is staying like this until April,
I've just been giving it a spanner check and redone the hub carrier bolts.

Brilliant. It's not fast but so nippy you can have it in the window most of the time if you want. The chassis and steering is superb, interior is great as well. Luggage capacity is non existent hehe

It's properly expensive tho. Once you add that to the car you are better off with something else I think, I am keeping my car as intended driving

Just got back from my first run out. Really enjoyed it. A nice F type was following me, saw an Aston and a F355 as well.
