Taxed it yesterday, Checked oil/water/tyres this morning and took a trip out to blow out the cobwebs (literally) with the roof down. Weather turned a bit variable so returned with roof up.

Awoke mine from its slumber after work yesterday.

Annual oil change done, last years stuff came out looking as fresh as it went in after covering 1,500 miles.
Required - probably not, but it does make me feel better.

Kept hold of the stuff that came out as I'll use it for flushing other cars.etc

Hoping the weather clears up by the weekend - as I'm booked into the Footman James get together at the British Motor Museum, dont mind abit of rain, but hoping the roads don't get gritted / salted - hopefully we are in the clear now.

I was planning to un-SORN in April, the forecast is looking solid rain for the next two weeks though.

Hopefully the weather will be more favourable for wanting to go for a drive.

Starting to wonder if I'll end up waiting until May to tax mine!

I've just taxed the Caterham, although it was also taxed over the winter, however I will SORN it over the winter this year because I've only used it a few times. I am waiting until the beginning of May to take the 370Z off the SORN though, and I'm really looking forward to getting back in that after 6 months of not using it.

Cheers Dan!

Do you still have the imported touring? Not been keeping track - remember you had a 7 series at some point.

Just taxed mine, which I note is now £700 + for a year. Expensive motoring given I do less than 5,000 annually in it.

Dry, warm drives will be very welcome.

.... fingers crossed sooner rather than later!

The Boxster is my daily so gets used all year round, but I taxed the Caterham in back in early March and have managed a few trips out. Unfortunately the car got filthy each time and things got a bit lively with the handling biggrin

Fingers crossed for better weather soon.

Given the weather and the forecast I’ve decided to hold off taxing my car till May.

Me too, this weather is very depressing. I've got a nice new 2bular on the Exige to get run in, but it wont stop bloody raining....

I'm thinking of getting my Boxster out, but only because it's booked in for an MOT on Saturday. It's been tucked away since October. But I'm starting to doubt that we're going to have a summer this year. It's been raining every single day since January!

My 18 year old Z4M has always been garaged in the 13 years I've had it and driven all year round albeit not very much.

I don't like the idea of not driving it plus I think it does the car good to be driven.

If it was suffering from bodywork issues or struggling on the MOT's I might be more precious. I understand older cars weren't well treated as far as rust is concerned but a 2006 car should be ok.

Have I left it too late? Will it start to go downhill soon?
Just drive it - that's what it was built for!

I did over 1,000 miles in my Z4M last week and had a great time.

I taxed my car last month, I've been out in it loads since all in mostly dry weather. All this talk of waiting till May is hilarious, it's England there's always a chance of rain!

I get frustrated in that regard too, because I only do around a 1000 miles a year in the 370Z, yet they still want £735 a year tax for it though! banghead

It might be time for an EV I reckon though...so that I can pay nothing for tax for sure. However the thought of that doesn't exactly get my juices flowing in fairness though. frown

We're stuck between a rock and a hard place I think sadly.

I want to move to wherever you are for sure. thumbup

The weather has been mostly grim where I am up to yet sadly.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for better weather going forward though. driving
