Out for my walk there's a 2 minute stretch along a B road. During that time I saw a 1986 Audi 100 Quattro turbo, in red with dump valve chirruping, and a Porsche 996 GT3 RS.

The interesting cars are emerging from hibernation.

MoT'd in November and then not driven over winter. Got a few jobs sorted like replacing the AC rads and the coolant cross pipes (pig of a job and not made any more fun by doing in in temps barely above 0).

Last week it got out to have the geo done and on Saturday it got a proper run. It's driving well biggrin

Well the TVR is not getting used for various reasons which includes ankle biters so just picked up an E Class Cabrio at the weekend, been out a few times with the roof down and the kids in the back love it

I was waiting for 1st April.

Then 10 days ago I met up with a mate - who brought his Aero 8.

I thought, sod it, life's too short... Went straight home and taxed my summer toy. Cost me near £50 for March, but what the hell.

It meant I could take the S2000 to work today in the glorious weather...

Mine isn't a summer car because I use it all year when that is allowed (although I do avoid salted roads), but that looks like Summer only these days!

Was planning to resurrect mine last week but the council decided it would be a great idea to fling more road salt everywhere last Friday as it got a bit chilly.

Put paid to those great plans unfortunately; a real shame too as I’d have loved a drive out. Anywhere. At all.

Took the Corvette out for a spin yesterday. Had about an hour to kill, spent half of it in traffic, then most of the rest trundling through little villages at 40, then a couple of chances to floor it on the A3 leg back home.

Nice to be out again.

UTH

Where did you get the front number plate from? I would like one that style on my car. It has currently got a plinth with the plate stuck on that. But I think how you have done it would look better on my car.

They have aged wonderfully. Has it proven reliable?

Mine stays taxed and insured throughout the year. Comes out weekly as long as the weather is dry and the roads are not salty

By getting out, you mean 'starting the next round of repairs', right?
